"We need to do a couple things before he gets here." she said as she fiddled with what seemed to be the staff made of ice. "You aren't trained well enough. You may have a mastery of magic but your memory is foggy. We need to practice. Just remember one thing. Emotions. They control everything when it comes to magic." and as if it was commanded, the staff jolted to life. It glowed with radiant blue light. Erica's eyes turned to match the color of the staff. "Lets fight." She flicked the staff towards me and I felt the temperature in the room drop. Out of what must have been reflex I jumped to the side. There was a flicker of blue light that hit the air of where I used to be. I got up and ran. I ran out into the grass outside of the cave. There was another flicker of blue light. I rolled to the side just in time to see the ground erupt in ice. I flicked my hand, and without any thought, the ice melted. Erica stepped out of the cave. "You can do better than that." She said. She tapped the ground lightly with the staff. A was of ice and snow sprouted around us. "That should make you fight." She flicked the staff for the third time. I ducked just in time, as there was a spike, made out of what I guessed was ice, flying at me. It hit the wall behind me and shattered. I pushed my arm towards her and a fireball flew at her. She hit it with the staff and it burst and died. "Nice, but you need more!" She slammed the staff on the ground and ice spikes started erupting around me. I pushed towards the nearest spike, something I faintly recalled doing in the past, and a bright light shot from my palms. It hit the spike and the spike exploded. I swung my hand in front of me from left to right, something I also recalled doing, and a red dome extended from around me. The dome collided with the shards of ice and they crumbled. She went to swing the staff again but i acted first. I pushed my arm again and a fireball shot from my palm and flew at her. She dove to the side and swung the staff. Ice shot from the tip of it towards me. I dove but i wasn't fast enough. The ice hit my forearm and a streak form up the side of my arm. It glowed bright blue like the staff. I rubbed it out of reflex and glowing red light shrouded my arm. The ice melted away and my arm was normal again. I clenched my fist and a bolt of lightning shot from the sky. It hit the wall and left a hole. I ran for the hole. I had just made it through when I felt the temperature in the air around me drop. I ran to the side an heard her footsteps behind me. I hid behind a part in the wall that was uneven. "What is she doing?" I thought to myself. She ran past my hiding spot. I launched another fireball at her. This one hit her. She flew farther away from me. I ran back to around where the entrance was. There was a loud pop and everything went fuzzy. When my vision focused I wasn't by the ice wall anymore. I was standing in a room with puke green walls. 4-c31. What? How?
