I stepped through the door as instructed and was nowhere I had ever seen before. There were rolling hills and green meadows. There were cows roaming the meadows in fences. I turned to see what the outside of the building looked like, but to my complete surprise, the building wasn't there. Just a small wooden shack and a cow. Not the ornate building I was expecting. I entered the shed and saw a women in an orange gown standing there. "Hello" she said "I'm Mira" "Where are we?" I asked. "I'm afraid that I don't know myself." The women stated "How did you get here" she asked. "This might sound crazy, but, through a talking door." I replied "Me too" she said happily. I asked her if she knew of anyway to get out and she replied with a simple "no". That is when I noticed something. She too had a monotonous voice. I looked down to the table she stood behind. It look to be stained wood. The same material the table in the room marked 4- c31 was made of. I looked to her hand to see she held a piece of paper. She stuck out her hand as I noticed and said "read it". I took the paper from her hand, which was as cold as the dark room. The paper read:
You Are Outside. Run.
I looked up from the note just to see Mira fall over. I raced around her and checked her neck for a pulse, nothing. Even without a pulse she whispered "run". I took this as a final warning and raced around the table. I sprinted through the door and what I saw was sickening. The cows were dead. The meadows were black. The fence was on fire. And Erica stood steps away from me, "run idiot, run" she said in a dying voice, "run". With that she, passed out. I was going to run over to her but that wasn't her dying wish. I looked left, clear. I ran. Ran like the wind. I ran through the black grass, passing the dead cows bodies. I ran and ran and ran with the note from the hallway etched in my brain.
"Be Careful, Magic in Room 4-c31"
Magic. What magic? Am I a magician? I don't have magic! I do not posses any magic abilities. I heard a gunshot and snapped back to the moment. I felt a sharp pain in my lower back. I thought that I would trip over the pain but instead I ran faster. I ran like I just got an adrenaline shot. I felt like I could outrun a cheetah. I heard more gunshots and felt anther sharp pain, this one in my foot. I fell as the pain shot up through my leg to my head. I looked to my foot to access the damage. There is blood everywhere. My left shoe is red, my right one light gray. The grass around my foot also red. I see a guard walking up to me with a human shield. They have long blonde hair and they are wearing a black skirt along with a red dress shirt, Mye.
