The guard is holding a gun to Mye's head. Looking at me though. He seems to have noticed the blood around my foot. I hope this will not be a disadvantage for me. I am already at a disadvantage to the fact he has a gun, I don't. I already know I will listen and do as he says. I didn't think he would use his own coworker as insurance. What if I were to just let her die, what would he do then? I won't find out. I won't put Mye at risk to see how far he will go. He tells me to stand up, a seemingly impossible command to follow. I put my weight on my good foot and try to stand, I can't, not without the balance of my other foot. I plant my foot to try and stand. A pain rushes throughout my body. I almost scream at the pain. He tells me to walk. He must want me to suffer. I follow his command, walking towards him, almost screaming with the effort. I get a few steps away and he tells me to stop. I follow, music to my ears. His name tag reads Corey. I look into Mye's eyes. They are shaking. She looks to my hand. I realize I still have the knife in my hand, I do not believe Corey does. There is a noise in the distance. Corey looks back, a mistake on his part. I mouth the words "duck when he looks" to Mye. I see the noise was a guard. He comes over a hill that I was unaware I crossed. He is unarmed as far as I can see. Corey looks at me. Mye follows my direction and ducks. I swing my knife and it punctures him below the ear. His pupils dilate and he collapses. The other guard pulls out a gun and pulls the trigger. There is a "crack" and I flinch expecting bullets. I don't feel anything and it doesn't seem like Mye is injured. I look to the guard on the hill and he seems perplexed. I focus on two floating objects between us. The bullets. What. The. Hell. They are floating! Am I causing that? Do I have magic? Is this real? More questions, less answers. I decided to duck down and check the guard named Coreys' neck for a pulse, none. But just like Mira, even without a pulse he could whisper. He whispered "4-c31" and I somehow knew, I had to go back.

This will probably be my only authors note. Sorry the chapters are so short! If I make them to long they get off topic and uninteresting. Please comment suggestions and tell me if you like it, if you don't, sorry!
