It was the first match of the new season's premier league tomorrow and Kai was nervous about it. That was all that ran inside his mind. But then he saw her, struggling with her suitcases.
That's how they met.

I stood there looking at the spot where Kai stood seconds ago. "Come here," Joshua said as he hugged me. I hugged him back and cried on his shoulder.
"Shush now listen," he paused as he pulled away from the hug, "I'll drive you to his house if you want to tell him the truth. He really looked heartbroken," Joshua said.
I looked down and opened and closed my mouth like a fish. "It's okay if you are not ready Ness," he said kissing my forehead.
I shook my head negative and said, "No no I need to face it. Every time I won't let Rhett ruin my life," he flashed me a big smile and said, "I'll get the keys,"
I gave Joshua the directions to his house and we were now on our way. I forgot my phone at my apartment and so I texted Cam not to worry about Joshua's phone.
On the way to his house, I felt so nervous. I have never talked about this to anyone except Cam. Joshua saw me tensed so he rubbed my hands and said, "You'll be fine,"
I was now standing in front of his house and debating to ring the bell. I took a deep breath in and out. Shit, I can't do this!
You drive me crazy Vanessa.
You can do nothing.
With a flash of determination, I rang the bell. I was shivering because of the cold now but it didn't matter. I need to fix my mistake.
No one answered the door making me more nervous. I was about to leave when the door opened and I was met with Kai's tired eyes.
"Vanessa? What are you doing here it's so late," he said pulling me inside. He walked away and returned with a hoodie in his hands. He made me pull my hands up and helped me wear it.
The hoodie smelled like him and it had his name written in italics near my heart. Even when I did this to him he's so caring, I feel even worse.
"I want to tell you everything Kai," I said. He looked down at me with concern, hurt and affection and said, "Come here,"
We sat on the same couch we kissed that day before I ran away. He was on my left and gave me his full attention.
There was a bottle of water kept on the table so I took it drinking a little. He didn't move his piercing gaze away from me and waited patiently for me to start.
I turned to look at him and caught his green eyes with mine. I took a deep breath in while biting my lips and started,
"Rhett Larson was my first actual boyfriend, not like the small ones we had in middle school. He was the guy I gave my virginity to.
We met in the sophomore year of college but started dating in junior year. It was all good in the start but then he started doing drugs and all sorts of things.
