"So, you actually made it?" the chilling voice echoed from the distance. "Trials and tribulations have not stumbled you on your path. I must say I'm impressed. It is why I have chosen you as my champion." Iris continued through the dark chasm, confused by what she was hearing. Was that the Hive Queen she was hearing? "Yes my child, it is me!" Iris stood back in shock as the Hive Queen had just read her mind. "Follow my voice, you will find me." Iris kept following the echoing voices she noticed Hive Minded Soldiers watching her from above. "Why aren't they attacking me?" Iris asked. "Because I want to personally meet the girl who beat me," The Hive Queen answered. Iris was skeptical. "I may be optimistic but I don't think I've beaten you yet," Iris responded. "You are mistaken child," The Queen retorted. "This was never a game of strength nor strategy, This was a game of wills." Iris rounded the last turn in the cavern and was face to face with the behemoth that had started it all. The Hive Queen sat Right in front of her
"A game of wills?" Iris asked. "Yes," The Hive Queen answered. "And how exactly have I won?" Iris questioned. The Hive Queen gave herself a light chuckle before answering. "Oh the irony that I was bested by a little girl who doesn't even understand the game. You made it here, you led an army against me and made it to face me." Said The Hive Queen continuing to cackle. "And Now, you get your prize." Iris raised an eyebrow. "So, are you going to leave this planet and take your army with you?" Iris asked, playing along. "Even better, you will inherit my power and you can finish what I started," Answered The Hive Queen. "What do you mean?" Iris asked. The Hive Queen sighed. "Well It is only fair that I explain it to you. I'm not the only one of my kind." Iris was taken aback by surprise.
"Just keep shooting," Lilly kept whispering to herself. At this rate it would become her mantra. But she did as she told herself and kept shooting at Hive Minded. Lilly blasted them out of the sky before being knocked aside by a hive beast. Lilly scrambled to get away and the beast chased after her.
Once he was sure Lilly was a safe enough distance away from the beast Daniel fired a rocket at the large monster blowing it into pieces. Lilly looked up at her brother who looked relieved. But Daniel's relief then turned into confusion at Lillys next words. "Dammit I wanted to play with the rocket launcher!" Lilly shouted. The two then proceeded to burst out into hysterical laughter. Lilly's laughter came to a halt when she saw a Hive Minded soldier flying towards Daniel. Lilly aimed her gun ready to blow its head off, but before she could pull the trigger the creature was blasted out of the air by a sniper shot from eight feet behind Lilly. "Nice shot," Lilly said, trying to compliment the sniper. "That was an easy shot," he responded before turning around to meet with the rest of his squad. Trossler then popped out of the fog with the rest of black squad. "Mcob where is Iris?!" she asked, demanding an answer. "We got separated. She went into the fortress. We got blocked off before we could follow.
"I understand your difficulty comprehending what I really am," The Hive Queen said, trying to sympathise with Iris. "But in due time you will see the truth behind the mission I have been sent out on." "No!" Iris shouted pointing her glaive at the Queen. "I don't want your power, you can keep it. I just want you to leave our world." The Hive Queen scoffed at Iris. "You have no idea how big this is. Makes sense, this planet was always pathetic, humanity especially so. You are so selfish just like the rest of them, you didn't even want to be here, you were just going to sit there and watch as your brother led the charge against me and failed! Oh but he's now dead and here you are a false imitation of his greatness!" The words cut deep into Iris. "If he was better than me, why did you kill him?" Iris asked. "That was an error on my part," The Hive Queen admitted. "When that Doctor Worly brought my minion into your home I relinquished my control. I thought that they would have been killed. So when my first choice for a vessel died I thought all hope was lost and that I should just finish off humanity. But then you led an army to drive me away. Of course there was no way you possibly could have beaten me, but your will power impressed me, so I decided to let you live." Iris was now finally seeing how all the pieces fell into place. "But I still have one question. Why us? Why humanity?" The Hive Queen stopped for a second. She didn't want to tell Iris the full truth about why she chose them. "Because Humanity is constantly divided against itself," she said at last. "Before I came you were always fighting about such ridiculous concepts that are utterly pointless, like what gods to worship, or what rules to follow! Your ethics are completely unfocused and alienate those who differ from an ever changing status quo!" The Hive Queen took second to regain her composure. "My point is, humanity is always divided. But I have been shown that when united together they can be one of the strongest armies in the universe, and I'm offering you the chance to unite all of humanity as one. For good," Iris wished she could believe The Hive Queens words. But she knew that some people will only do good to further their own agenda. "Humanity is united!" Iris exclaimed. And we will stay united until you fall!" Iris pressed a small green button on her communications device. For a while nothing happened. "Was that it?" The Hive Queen asked, perplexed. "That is how you defeat me, make me cry at an overly emotional and naive speech?" The fortress started rumbling. The Hive Queen looked down at Iris to ask what trickery she had pulled. Iris merely stood there smiling. A large beam of energy shot through the wall of the fortress blowing a large hole in the wall. The beam then scraped the cheek bone of the leftmost face of The Hive Queen leaving an empty hole in the side of the large skeletal face. The head then hung down limp and lifeless. The Hive Queen stood up from her throne and Screeched at the Screaming Eagle that was hovering on the other side of the wall. The legion of Falcons then seeped in through the large hole and began blasting their beams at The Hive Queen. The Hive Queen stepped back being blinded by the pain of a thousand burning needles piercing her flesh. Hearing her screams The Hive Minded swarmed into the stronghold to protect their queen. The Falcons changed their targets to deal with the infestation. Amidst the fire fight several Hive Minded dove towards Iris "Capture her!" The Hive Queen ordered. "I need her alive!" The Hive soldiers began to advance on Iris to obey their queen's command but were shot dead by Daniel and Lilly who had come to aid Iris. "You two took long enough!" Iris sarcastically exclaimed. Lilly loaded her bazooka (which she had continually pestered Daniel for) before firing into the swarm approaching their position cutting the squadron in half. Iris and Daniel dispatched the stragglers while Lilly reloaded and aimed her next shot at The Hive Queen Herself. "Aloha Mother Fucker!!" she yelled before shooting a rocket straight into the center head's left eye. The Hive Queen screeched again as the red glow dissipated in her eye. Once she realized this The Hive Queen shrieked even louder in a rage fueled state of insanity. She swung all four of her arms wildly, blowing through any of the unfortunate falcon pilots who happened to be in the way. She then got up from her throne again smacking all aircraft into the ground to explode violently before making her way to The Screaming Eagle grabbing the ship and pulling it closer towards her. Lilly took notice of this and fired one last shot at the queen sending a rocket into the side of her jaw. The Hive Queen stumbled back once more falling into her throne. "I'd recommend my dentist but they might not take your insurance!" Lilly yelled in triumph Daniel. looked at Lilly awkwardly. He said nothing but stood there shaking his head. The Screaming Eagle then charged up the most powerful shot its systems could muster and fired it at The Hive Queen's chest pinning her to the side of the throne. For several agonizing minutes The Hive Queen screeched in pain. Iris began to almost feel bad for her. Eventually the energy beam stopped and The Screaming Eagle hovered in its place. Before flying closer to The Hive Queen's Lifeless body. A massive chasm lay in her chest as she stood still in silence. "Did, did we win?" Daniel asked hesitantly. Iris was unsure and unconvinced. She stood closer to the ledge to get a better look at The Hive Queens Body.
