Beep Beep Beep! Ugh! I don't want to get up! I looked at the clock and it said 6:30 a.m. Why am I getting up so early on a Saturday? Oh yeah, I'm going on a church retreat. Oh my gosh I have to get up! I jumped up and sprinted to the shower and hopped in. I have to get to my church at 8:00 a.m. I got out of the shower and looked at the clock. 6:45, perfect timing. I put on shorts and a shirt and ran downstairs. Suprisingly, my dad was downstairs in the kitchen. "Hey dad. Why are you up so early?" I asked. "I have to go to work. I have a surgery." he replied bluntly. Thats my beloved father, always so blunt. "Oh." I said back just as bluntly.
I went to our pantry and got some cereal. Frosted Flakes to be exact. I poured them in along with some milk. I ate them and went back upstairs without saying a word to my dad. We don't talk that much and when we do he is either yelling at me or telling me do to something. Yeah we don't have the best relationship. I walked in my room and picked out my outfit.I picked out a long sleeved plain white shirt, dark skinny jeans with small rips, tan leather boots, a tan jacket, and a red scarf. Before I put on my clothes I did my makeup. I put on foundation, blush, natural eye shadow, and mascara. I blow dried my half dry hair and straightened it. I put on my clothes and finished with lip gloss.
I checked my bags to make sure I had everything. I had a weeks worth of clothes including my outfit for the New Years Eve party. Most people are going to wear costumes and I guess you could say mine is too. It is definitley something I wouldn't wear everyday. After that I made sure I had all my shoes. I had a different bag for my shoes because there are boots and other stuff. I had a pair of boots, some slippers, some sneakers, and the shoes I'm going to wear for the party. Then I had my bag of bathroom stuff. I had my straightener, my curling iron, my makeup, my tooth brush and tooth paste, and stuff for the shower. Everything was there so I got my stuff and found my mom and asked her to help me with my things. As usual my dad had already left without saying goodbye.
We went outside and put my stuff in my car. I looked at my mom and hugged her. She wasn't coming with me because she had charity work. She looked at me and said,"Alright, you have everything?" I nodded."Here is some money you can use and the trip. She gave me a hundred dollars and I already had fifty of my own. We hugged one last time and I got in the car. I pulled out of our driveway and waved to my mom. She waved back and I drove away. I turned on the radio and got to my church 15 minutes later.
