Hello Fam :)

Thank you for being the best readers and understanding me. I got my laptop back but I was really serious about blocking people out who demand updates and mute everyone with 'update soon' comments. As I always say, if you can't wait, kindly remove the book from your library and I would notify you once the book is completed so that you can read it all at once.

Happy Reading...

It has been one month since Nandini started working with the Malhotras. She had an office and a personal bedroom at the castle. She could stay whenever she wanted but it didn't happen yet because after staying away from her dad, she wanted to have at least one meal together with him. So far, she has had the best experience at work. Abhimanyu and her would get along so well except for his attitude to jump in front of her whenever he thought there was even a slight risk to her. Manik was right. Abhimanyu was a mother hen.

Then there comes Mukti. When Mukti didn't talk much to her, she thought it was the attitude of a Princess but then they were stuck together in the office while Raj and Abhimanyu went to meet some of their clients. They were bored after finishing the work. Nandini thought of going home but then Mukti would be alone and she wanted to wait for both of them. It was better to be bored together than alone. The incident forced them to talk and then no one knew when the two men had returned. They both hit it off like a house on fire. Nandini felt Mukti as some long-lost sister of hers.

Talking about sisters, Alya was ignoring her pretty much but the usual hostility was absent even when Yash wasn't at home. It was nice not to have the constant jabs.

Right now, she was playing UNO with Mukti. It was the both of them after Abhimanyu lost to the girls twice in a row and left to do something productive. "UNO, Princess", said Nandini, putting down her cards. They were even finally.

"Damnit, Nandini", whined the girl before laughing. "It feels so good to find someone who could match with mine. Abhimanyu is so rubbish at this and Manik thinks it's a stupid game."

"Manik reads psychology books for fun. I don't expect anything else from him."

Mukti groaned, falling on the bed. "Oh, god. How can I forget those psychology times."

"What do you mean?"

"He didn't only read the books. He practiced those theories on us. Imagine having your every moment scrutinized and defining a meaning to it. He attached a meaning even if I yawned or yelled or smiled."

"Have you ever thought that your brother is one chaotic idiot?"

"After listening to his numerous tantrums? Of course. And that chaotic idiot is all yours to deal with."

Nandini chuckled. Was he really hers?

Manik was getting ready for the hospital when there was a knock on the door. After Nandini, Cabir rarely visited his place. They usually meet somewhere outside for dinner. Since it was early in the morning, Manik doubted it was him.

He was surprised to find the person in front of him when he opened the door. "Dad?", he said. Ever since Nandini started working with him, his dad dropped in calls randomly to tell something about the girl or her work. Lately, they even started talking about his work and Raj would tell something about the projects he was working on. But he never guessed he would find the man in his apartment suddenly. "Is everyone okay? Are you okay?"

"I am fine, Manik. Was passing by. Thought of seeing you. How are you?", asked Raj.

"I am fine, dad. Come in, please."
