Once you're dressed, you stand in front of the bathroom mirror and stare at yourself. Most specifically, the bruise on your cheek. You can still feel it throbbing and it'll probably take a few days before it stops hurting. Though you're sure everyone will know about what happened by then, when you go to work tomorrow you'll have to cover that up as best as you can.

You exit the bathroom about 15 minutes after Ransom did. When you walk back into your room, you're surprised to see that Ransom has been hard at work while you were still taking a bath.

''What's this?'' You ask, chuckling.

He turns away from your bed and smiles. ''While you were finishing up, I went outside to set up to watch the stars but the sky was completely covered. Instead, I thought we could watch a movie.''

You look at your bed now covered in pillows, cushions and blankets. ''You built us a nest?''

Ransom looks back at the bed and laughs. ''I guess I did.'' He shrugs. ''I just wanted you to be comfortable.''

''I love it. Thank you.'' You walk over to him and kiss his shoulder.

''Get in there. I already chose the movie because you said you had no idea what was out right now, I hope that's ok.''

''It's more than ok.'' You look at your bed. ''Where do I sit?''

''Wherever you want, angel. Move some things around if you need to.''

You climb on top of your mattress and settle down amongst the pillows and blankets that are scattered all over your bed. Being surrounded in warmth like this helps you to relax and helps you feel safe. You weren't surprised Ransom would think to do something like this for you. He's being so attentive to you, it's almost overwhelming. He helped you wash your hair and now this, and some people dare to call him an asshole. They clearly don't know him in the way that you do because he's far from being that.

''I'll be right back.'' Ransom tells you before leaving your room.

A few minutes later, he walks back in and shuts the door with his foot. His hands are holding a plate with a sandwich on it and a glass of water. He turns off the light with his elbow and walks over to your bed, puts down the plate and glass on your nightstand and joins you on the bed.

''My cook didn't you feed you enough at dinner?'' You tease him while looking at the sandwich.

''It's not for me.'' He says, snuggling closer to you.

''Ransom.'' You sigh. ''I'm not hungry.''

''I know, angel, and I believe you. But you haven't eaten anything since dinner at Harlan's and that was over 24 hours ago.You don't feel the hunger but it's definitely there so please, just eat a little? You don't have to eat the whole thing, I don't want to make you sick, but some of it.''

He reaches over to the nightstand and grabs the glass of water first. He hands it to you.

''First a little bit of this.''

You stare at Ransom, annoyed.

''I know, I know.'' He says. ''You can be mad at me all you want, as long as you do it while drinking and eating.''

You take the glass of water with a huff and take a few sips before giving it back. ''There.''

''Thank you.'' He grins and puts the glass down on the nightstand, taking the sandwich next and handing you the plate.

You grab it and put it on your lap, not touching it.

''Come on mama bear. You always take care of everyone else, now it's time to take care of yourself.'' He nudges at the plate. ''If the roles were reversed I'm pretty sure that sandwich would be halfway down my throat by now.''
