Half a week before the science meet, an envoy left the capital, Rayy, heading towards Teruel. The biggest city in this province was Nujaim. That is where they were heading.

The envoy consisted of the Crown Prince Suhayl, General Ghalib and the assistant minister of Finance, Hudhaifah. This wasn't their usual secretive trip, rather an official one. So, they were escorted by security guards and some military soldiers under Ghalib's command.

Suhayl had extended the invitation to join his caravan to anyone else from the capital heading to the exhibition, and a few Ameers had accepted. Each brought along their entourage, adding almost like a festive air to the journey.

The trio of friends sat in one carriage, as it rolled towards their destination. Suhayl palmed the invitation for the umpteenth time.

Ghalib looked at him and sighed. "Have you never seen a sealed letter before?"

"It's so exquisite! I can't help it." Suhayl shoved it under Ghalib's eyes, as though Ghalib hadn't received his own invitation. "This calligraphy is just too beautiful. Do you know who did it? Do they commission? I could order something from them, maybe some Qur'anic Ayats," he continued to muse aloud.

With every sentence coming out of his mouth, Ghalib's expression tightened. He began to regret sitting here and resolve to change carriage at their next stop.

"Sister loves calligraphy, I could gift it to her for Eid." Suhayl said. At that, Ghalib's eyes softened a little. He bit out names of a few famous calligraphers from the top of his head. Then roughly added at the end,

"I don't know who did this one exactly, you can check their work to see."

Suhayl nodded his head excitedly and turned to pester the other person in the carriage.

Ghalib leaned back in respite. Suhayl's voice echoed in his head. Slowly and methodically, he sorted through all the pieces of calligraphy and wondering which could be worthy for the sole princess of a kingdom.
