"Player ... has been eliminated, player ... has been eliminated, player ... has been eliminated, Player 199 has been eliminated.
Player 199, was Ali. Sang-woo won against Ali. Sang-woo had killed Ali. Sang-woo lived on.
You were escorted out of the room, and back to the stairway. In the corner of your eye, you saw Sang-woo. He looked devastated. You were so lucky you didn't know that man, but Sang-woo always hung around Ali.
"Sang-woo," you said as you walked towards the man. He didn't look at you, he didn't look up.
His shirt was gone, leaving his jacket to be the only thing covering up his body above his abdomen. Blood was covering his jacket.
He opens his mouth finally, "Hello, (Y/N), congratulations for making it out. How did you win?" You looked up at him with a shocked look. His face looked traumatized but he had a faint smile. "(Y/N), did you feel nice when you won?" He looked up at you and a tear dripped out of his eyes, but he still smiled, and he went on. "Huh, (Y/N), did he have a wife? Or kid?" His voice got menacing and louder. "Sang-woo! Stop this," you said shaking his shoulder. "What would you do if it was me? Would you kill me like you killed that man? You evil bitch," he said looking you directly in the eyes, and continued, "am I scaring you (Y/N)? Don't you think that man was scared when the gun was pointed at his head?"
You backed up and walked away saying, "I'm sorry Sang-woo." And climbed up to a bed, far away from everyone else.
Sang-woo looked up at you with another tear falling out of his eyes. He climbed up to where you were and put his hand down on your trembling knee. "(Y/N), I'm sorry, I'm just, I'm not in a good state of mind okay. I did some things that I regret deeply down there."
You looked at him with a faint smile and spoke softly, "what happened to your shirt?" His face went numb and blank, and he replied with, " I don't want to talk about it, I apologize." You knew it had something to do with Ali, and you're sure, he pulled a sick move against the poor foreign man.
You thought quickly, and hugged the man. He moved out of your grip, and went back to where he was sitting. "Do you see that man over there? He played against his wife," Sang-woo said, pointing at a crying man, he went on, "That game, it was twisted, wasn't it." You put together head down, and closed your eyes. The man forcefully pulled you down, to place your head on his lap.067 walked out, shaking and crying. She had to kill player 240. She walked away and sat high up on a bed by herself, and soon followed 456, the poor man who had killed 001.
Everyone finally walked out. And you made your eyes look a a certain woman. It was the woman with curly hair, who never found her partner. She was sitting on a bed with a grand smile. "You suckers," She said, "I can't believe you all had the guts to do that, ha!" That crazy woman you thought, she had no idea of what everyone had to go through.
Sang-woo moved his arms deeper and tighter around you, and rubbed your hair.
You all were given food, a single potato. Nothing was more depressing than what you have just been through, it's even worse than toy coming to Korea.
———-———————————————
You, your boyfriend and child had all lived together at once, in Chicago. You were studying Korean at a cheap college.
Your boyfriend became abusive. He hit you on a regular basis. He talked shit about your child, and even joined a small gang. He became a true nightmare.
Luckily taking Korean in school, you knew a conversational amount of the language. Without a word, you and your child left for South Korea. At this time, you were only 22, and your child was 2 years old.
Barley affording a plane, you and your baby boy left with nothing but the clothes on your backs, and a toy to keep the child company.
You and your baby moved into a broken, one bedroom apartment, in the slums of Korea, and you got a job working in a factory, one of the only choices for a poor foreign woman, like you. You faced hardships of labor and racism everyday, but you had to pull through with it, to help you and your child get food and pay rent.
After sometime of working, you heard about a game, and we're given the chance to play, the game in which you are in now.
Your child is staying in the foster care system, waiting for you to make it back home.
You told Sang-woo and Ali about this, since you were close to them two, and Ali was a foreign worker himself. Sang-woo made a promise, that if he got out of this game, he would raise your child, and let him know about what his mom had to go through.
Because of this, you fell in love with Sang-woo and trusted him, knowing that love in this game would only lead to faults.——————————————————————-
Sang-woo looked down at you, admiring what you looked like in thought. You looked up at him and said, "Sang-woo, how old are you?" He looked to the wall, and replied, "I'm 39 years old." You nodded.
A man walked out, the man who had just lost his wife. He started yelling, saying "I don't want to do this anymore, don't you people have any mercy?" He wants to end this game. I don't blame him, he just lost his wife, but still.
Sang-woo looked like he was getting bugged by his words. He hopped down from your bed and walked toward e guy. Sang-woo said very sternly, "will you be forgiven for killing your wife? Huh? If you're that tormented, why did you come back alive?" Sang-woo grabbed him by the collar, "you should've been the one who died." 218 pointed at the money held at the top of the roof of the room, "that's the price of your wife's life. Do you want to us to leave that here? You wanna start with nothing but shit again?" Sang-woo threw the man harshly to the ground, which made you gasp. He went on, "all of you, do you want to give up as well." The man he scolded sat there, with tears flowing from his eyes. Sang- woo went on with his speech, "that's fine! Everyone get up and leave!"
Everyone remained silent from the man's words. You sat there looking down at Sang-woo with fear. You were scared of him, but you had no other choice than to love and admire him.
Finally the lights turned off, it was time yo rest, but, you couldn't. Sang-woo didn't return to you, he's sitting on another bed in the corner now.Hours went by, and the lights turned back on. Officers with pink suits carried in a large coffin. There, where the officers went, you saw the man, who Sang-woo scolded, hung by the side of a bed.
Sang-woo, he might've been the reason that man died. Why, why is it always Sang-woo. The first night you met him, he saved you, but now, he's become something dark because of this game. Player ... had been eliminated. The speakers spoke, "the fifth game is about to begin. Everyone follow the guards down to the next game."
