Chapter 9

3rd person's POV

It's just another of accompanying Azumi for Kakashi. He's currently on his way to her house. There are few things Kakashi wants to ask Azumi.

When he got to her house, he saw a sleeping Azumi on the floor of her living room.

"She didn't even make it to the bed." Kakashi thought. He went to Azumi and picked her up to put her in her bed then he decided to cook Azumi some food.

Meanwhile...

Azumi wakes up to the smell of buttered toast.

"Who is it this time? Should I ask Lady Tsunade for barriers?" She thought.

She got up while rubbing her eyes then she finally experience her usual migraine.

"Ah! Why did this migraine take so long to occur?" Azumi asked herself. She got used to her daily migraine because of her visions.

She left her room and saw Kakashi sitting in the kitchen while reading his book, shirtless.

"You know, you can't just walk into people's home while they're asleep." Azumi said.

"Thanks to me, you woke up on your bed." Kakashi replied.

"I think it's best if you leave. I need this day for me." Azumi said.

Without hesitation, Kakashi pinned Azumi to the wall behind her.

"What are you saying?" Kakashi asked while leaning closer to her.

Azumi tried to pull his mask but he dodged it completely.

"Oh, you wanna get in trouble baby girl?" He asked with his serious lustful tone.

"Just let go of me. I'm tired and I'm having a migraine." Azumi said while shutting her right eye.

"Why did you say so?" Kakashi retorted and he lets go of her.

"Caffeine is good for migraine so you should drink your coffee." Said Kakashi while sitting down.

Azumi just started eating and taking a sip of her coffee quietly.

"Silent treatment?" Kakashi asked.

"No! I TOLD YOU I HAVE A MIGRAINE!" She snapped. Kakashi's eye widened for a while.

Azumi buried her face to her arms because her migraine just keeps on getting worse.

"Are you okay?" Kakashi asked softly. Azumi's groaning in pain. He has to do something.

He quickly put on his shirt and carried Azumi to the hospital.

"What happened?" Asked a girl with short black hair.

"She's having a migraine but I think it got worse." Kakashi replied.

"Okay, we'll take it from here. Just wait in the waiting area." The girl said.

"Thank you, Shizune." Kakashi replied.

While examining Azumi, Shizune found a few tiny lumps in Azumi's right part of the brain.

"Can someone summon Lady Tsunade? Be quick please." She yelled to the other staffs.

"She's too young for this." Shizune said to herself.

After a few moments, Lady Tsunade entered the room where Shizune is.

"You summoned me?" Asked Tsunade.

"I just want your opinion on this." Said Shizune then she showed her the screen.

"Are those?" Tsunade couldn't even finish her words.

"Yes, tumors." Said Shizune.

"Can we remove it by operating?" Asked Tsunade.

"It's too risky. There are at least 7 tumors in there, and they're so small. We might burst it." Replied Shizune.

"Who's gonna tell her the news?" Asked Tsunade.

"I think she'll trust your judgement more." Replied Shizune.

They both nodded then they ordered the staffs to put Azumi in her room.

Tsunade looked for Kakashi in the waiting are and there, she saw him reading his book.

"I need you to stay with Azumi 24/7. That's your mission." Tsunade said.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" Asked Kakashi.

"Come to her room and you'll know." Replied Tsunade.

They both went upstairs where Azumi's room is located. They went inside to find Shizune giving pain reliever to Azumi.

"She's gonna wake up at any moment." Shizune said.

After a few minutes, she woke up.

"What happened?" Asked Azumi.

"You were having a migraine so Kakashi sent you here." Replied Tsunade.

"What's Lady 5th doing here? Do I have a terrible illness?" Asked Azumi.

Tsunade and Shizune looked at each other. Tsunade sighed.

"You have a few tiny tumors in your right side of brain. We can remove it but your life will be in danger because they are so tiny, we might burst it in your head and the bacteria will spread in your brain. You might die from the infection. All we can do is give you pain relievers. Be careful not to hit your head or it will burst. That's all we can do." Tsunade said. Azumi just looked at them with an expressionless face.

She chuckled which made the three shocked.

"I knew it." Azumi replied with a smirk.

"What do you mean?" Asked Tsunade.

"You see, people like me, who can hear thoughts every day, nonstop, tends to have this kind of illness. Yes, it is an advantage to hear what people are thinking but it cost us our life. People like me doesn't live long. My great, great aunt died in her early 30's. I guess it's my turn to join them." Azumi replied.

"Do you ever wish you're not like that?" Asked Kakashi.

"Yes. Especially when I snap but I have no choice. There are only few people in the world who have this ability and that make us special." Azumi replied.

"I guess I have to start enjoying my life then. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I might not be able to wake up." She added while looking at the window.
