Pains

Miara's POV

Apparently, now that the king has passed away, Shrek and Fiona have to take his place. But, things haven't been going well, like the time where Shrek and Fiona attempted to kiss, but Shrek's buttons popped off and flew all over the place, and it was chaotic. However, as things have been...uh, getting worse, I've been having pains in my stomach more and more often. 

Puss and I were going back to our room when we met Donkey. I suddenly felt the pain in my stomach again and I hissed in pain. Puss knelt down and asked, " Are you alright?" I nodded my head, but then I hissed again when the pain came back. Donkey walked over and said, " You know, Dragon acted the same way when she was pregnant. Except she'd blow out fire." 

I was a bit thankful Puss didn't get what Donkey was saying, and I told him I'd just go to our room to get some rest. As I passed the mirror I went back, and said to myself, "Could I really be...pregnant?"

I shook my head and told myself over and over again," No, no, I-i can't be pregnant, like, Puss and I aren't even married yet!" but then, I'd look over to the shelf and took the ring Puss gave me on Valentine's day. He didn't propose to me or anything, he just gave me the ring, and a rose. 

Just then, I heard a knock on the door. I thought it was Puss, but it was Fiona. She looked a little bit worried about something. " What's wrong?" I asked. She told me she was pregnant, and that she hasn't told Shrek yet. 

" How did you feel like when you found out?"

" Well, I got a lot of sharp pains often, I ate more, and, well, my stomach appeared bigger."

I looked down at my stomach. The description fit my case perfectly. 

" Fiona, please call the vet."
