Saving Shrek

Miara's POV

We saw Charming about to attack Shrek, but I jumped off the top of the wall, flipped in mid-air and landed in front of Shrek. I tossed my head back, smirked, and knocked away his sword and on cue, Dragon swooped in and Donkey and Puss jumped off her back. 

All the other fairytale creatures came, and the girls karate-kicked through the wall, creating a hole. 

Gingy held onto Rapunzel's hair and jumped. Turns out, her hair really was fake! She ran off crying. 

We surrounded Charming, but he whistled, signaling the villains to pick us up. I managed to scratch the cheek of the person holding me, but Charming grabbed me by my neck. I struggled to get out of his grasp but failed. 

Puss yelled, " Let her go, you!" but the talking trees held him back. Charming laughed and said, "Well, well, well. You were a fighter before, but look at you now, you can't even defeat me! You're useless now."

Puss yelled again, " You do not treat a woman like that! Especially not my woman. You will pay for this, fiendish villain!"

Charming chuckled and walked over to him. " Oh, really? I am pretty sure you would have left her if you weren't with the ogre, Shrek. You don't want a kid, you want adventure, and you know it."

Puss shook his head, but I could see in his eyes a tinge of agreement. Did he really not want this baby?

But then a voice came, and someone jumped from one of the clouds. It was Arthur! He had a heartfelt speech about how no one should be judged. He smiled at Shrek, and the speech worked, the villains let them go. 

Then Charming used his other arm to stab Shrek, but I knew that Shrek wasn't dead. He stood up and smirked, saying, " Try to aim next time."

I laughed, but Charming tightened his grip on me. " Don't dare come close to me, or I will strangle her! Actually, I will if no one helps me kill Shrek too!"

He started to squeeze, and I couldn't breath. Everything got blurry and almost went black but then Puss spoke. " Charming, you, are right. I want adventure, and with her, she will take it all away. Go ahead with Shrek. All they've done is hold me down from what I wanted."

I gasped, and I started to cry silently, tears flowing down my cheeks. He didn't want to be with me, let alone be with our child. I actually thought he loved me. I fell for him, I actually loved him. But he let me down. 

But when he was about to shake hands ( or paws ) with Charming, he continued, " And all I've wanted, is to be with Miara, and everyone here, except you!"

And with that, he kicked Charming, making him drop me. Puss caught me, and tears welled up in my eyes. "You didn't mean any of that stuff about me taking away everything you liked, right?"

" No, of course I didn't."

Dragon pushed the castle on Charming, and I hugged Puss tightly. 

It seemed everything was right in the world, and Puss and I's happily ever after was coming soon.
