I was reading those things about Hannakai disease. Sorry if I spelled that wrong. And, I wanted to try it. It'll probably be trash. Sorry if it is.

You watched your long time crush sit beside Momo. You loved Momo but, she liked him. You didn't have the heart to tell her though. She was your friend. It was obvious he liked her too. Why else would he hang out with her all the time. You had no chance.

Shoto Todoroki.

Momo was perfect for him. She had beautiful hair. She had a perfect body. She came from a nice rich family. She had an amazing quirk. Everything about her was amazing.

Then there was you. You had messy (h\c) hair. You were muscular as a result of your training, so you didn't have the ideal female body type. Your mother left. Your father drinks too much. Your brothers all grew up and moved away. At least you had a cool quirk. But, that was it.

You were close to Todoroki. Well, enough to call him a friend. You normally hung out with the Bakusquad.

You thought you could get over your feelings. But instead, those feelings got stronger. At first, you just thought that you had a random sore throat. That was until you coughed up a petal.

Hannakai disease.

It was a deadly disease. A person gets this disease when they love someone and they don't love them back. You have one of two choices; A surgery that cures it but also takes away your ability to love, or a confession from the person you loved. You wanted to love, so the surgery was out of the question. And apparently, your crush doesn't love you so a confession is also out of the question. You had no idea what you were going to do. You guessed you would just have to die.

The disease only got worse. It got so bad, you had to wear a mask to keep the petals from falling out. You didn't want anyone finding out. They would only worry. You would have several coughing fits. You would have to excuse yourself out of the classroom a lot. It was getting so bad. Now, you were coughing up full on flowers. Some of the flowers were starting to have thorns. Only more pain for you.

This didn't go unnoticed. Especially by a certain dual haired male.

Todoroki's pov

I've had a crush on L\N for a while. I had no idea how to deal with something like this, so I avoided her. That was probably a bad idea. I just didn't know what to do.

Recently, she's been having a lot of coughing fits. She would excuse herself from class. I was getting worried. One day, I saw a bloodied petal fall out of her mask that she had been wearing a lot. Hannakai disease. I swear, I will kill whoever it is that has done this to her. I have to ask her.

I watched as she headed for her dorm.

"Hey Todoroki kun!"

I turned around yo see Yaoyorozu.

"Want to go to a cafe with me for lunch this weekend?" She asked.

"No thanks." I replied and walked to the elevators.

I got up to her dorm. I knocked. L\N opened the door. She had that mask on.

"Todoroki? W-what are you doing here?" She asked.

Her voice was gruff.

"Who is doing that to you?" I asked.

"What are y-"

She started coughing again. She held out a finger and ran inside. She didn't shut the door all the way. I walked inside. I saw her bent over a trash can. Several petals and flowers with thorns poured out from her mouth. She finally quit. Blood dripped from the side of her mouth. My feet just moved on their own. They carried me over to her. I wrapped my arms around her.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"N-no one. D-dont worry a-about it." She seemed to be having trouble speaking. It really had gotten bad.

"Tell me Y\N!" I used her first name so she would understand I really meant it.

Her eyes widened. She shook her head.

"Please Y\N! Tell me!" My voice started to crack. I hated seeing her like this.

"W-why d-d-do y-you w-want to k-know?" She managed to ask.

"Because I care about you L\N! No! I love you!"

Her eyes widened again. She sat there in silence. She reached up for her throat.

Your pov

"Because I care about you Y\N! No! I love you!" He shouted.

'what?' He loves me? Wait! The feeling in my throat and lungs are gone!

You reached your hand up to your throat. It no longer hurt or felt scratchy. You removed your mask and breathed out. It felt so nice.

"Wait! Was I the one that caused you that?"

You could hear how hurt he was. He never showed much emotion. But now, he looked like he was going to cry.

He enveloped you in a hug. He pulled you into his lap and stroked your hair. He buried his face into the crook of my neck. Your neck became wet. You could hear quiet sobs.

"I'm sorry Todoroki."

"Why didn't you tell me?'

"Its not that easy. Besides, I thought you loved someone else."

"I don't. I love you. I'm sorry I avoided you. I just felt so weird every time I was around you. I didn't know how to handle my feelings. I'm so sorry Y\N."

"I'm sorry too Shoto."

You began to run his hand through his hair. He leaned up to face you. Before you knew what was happening, his lips met yours in a soft passionate kiss. You were surprised for a second, but kissed back.

"Y\N. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course Shoto."

He smiled. He engulfed you in another hug.

"I love you Y\N."

"I love you too Shoto."
