Jess drove to the library which was about thirty miles away from the facility.

"Jess no matter what tell no one. Understand?"

She nodded.

We walked in through the door.  I took out my ID badge from work and so did Jess.

"How can we help you?" A male said.

"Im doing a research project for school and its about imprinting. Can you point us to that direction?" Jess asked.

"Imprinting. Hmmm. Imprint from human to witch or with a witch and vampire?" he asked.

"Vampire," Jess said.

He typed something into the computer.  "Alright follow me," he said and led us to a back room.

"How come they are back here?" I asked.

"It olds dangerous information and only members of the counsil may see it. Since you are a daugher of a counsil member you may see it," he said. "You must not leave with this book,"

We nodded and I took the book from him. Once he left Jess took a deep breath. "What are they hiding from us? Iz what if vampires arent as bad as we were taught," she whispered.

"I have a feeling you are right," I whispered and looked at the book. Carefully I opened the book. I looked at the list of sections. "History of witches, Salem witch trials, members of he counsil... impinitng!" I said and turned to the chapter.

I quietly read the section outloud.

"Imprinting is when a vampire and witch exchage blood and the two form a strong connection. Vampire and witch relationships are forbidden and if found out both parties will be sent for execution.  Imprinting is impossible to break once the connection is there.  Most times blood is poisonous to vampires causing blistering and burns. When imprinted the vampire is immune to the posion of the witches blood. Most commonly imprinting follows with a mate bond," I whispered

"Mate bond?" Jess asked.

I skipped a few sentances. "The mate bond. Most times it is not the witch who imprints on the vampire is the other way around.  The mate bond is a strong connection between vampires/vampires, vampires/human. When a mate bond forms the vampire/witch imprint comes on without the need of sharing blood. Vampires are protective over their mate, they will do anything to protect their mate," I stopped reading.

This isnt good.

"Izzy.... What else?"

"I dont need to read anything else. I already know my answer," I said pale.

"Youve imprinted?"

"My blood didnt effect him. He was caring towards me. Worried about me" I whispered.

"But he hasnt shared blood with you. How can a full imprint happen?"

"The mate bond," I whispered.

"Shit," she said.

"Yeah," I said.

"What are you going to do?" She asked.

"I have no freaking clue," I said.

"Lets just go to my dorm and we will figure it out," she took my hand.

I looked down at the book reading headlines. "Breaking the imprint," I whispered and read the next few sentances. "The imprint and mate bond is only broken through death." I whispered.

"Okay Iz. Stop reading lets go," she said forcing me up.

I closed the book and stood going with her.

"Done?" The bookkeeper asked.

"Yes," Jess whispered.

"Is your friend alright?" He asked.

"Yes," I whispered and broke free from Jess's grasp and walked quickly heading outside throwing up.

"Izzy"

"I'm fine. Im fine," I whispered. "Lets just go back to your dorm," I said and got into her car.

Things went by in a blur. I didnt sleep at all that night. I didnt eat dinner or breakfast.

Jess and I walked into the facility and walked to morning meeting.

"Nice to you to join us," My father snapped.

"Yeah whatever," I said shrugging not in the mood to deal with him.

"Are you okay?" my mom went over.

"I just feel sick," I whispered and looked down. I didnt pay attention to the meeting what so ever.

"Izzy!" My father yelled. "Do you ever listen!"

I stood "Go to hell," I said to him and walked out of the room.

"She didnt mean it. She was sick all night," Jess said and followed me so did my mom.

"Izzy baby are you okay? Lets go to the nurse," My mom said taking my hand.

"She didnt sleep at all last night, and was throwing up. She refused to eat today." Jess said.

My mom picked me off my feet.  "Jess will you please fill in for Izzy with Demetri.  Just do the repeat test. There is blood in the fridge in my office," she said.

"Yess miss," Jess said.

I was layed down on a bed.

"What happened? Is she injured?" Angela asked.

"I dont know," my mom said.

"No. Im just overwhelmed," I whispered feeling nauseous again.

"Izzy have you taken anything. Drugs?" Angela asked.

"No," I said and sighed. "Im just... just..." my mom got a basin and set it infront of me just in time as I threw up.

"Are you in any pain?" She asked.

"No. Im just overwhelmed," I said.

"Being overwhelmed doesnt cause this. If you took anything..."

"I didnt take anything! I feel sick. I couldnt sleep last night," I yelled at her.

"You believe her?" Angela asked.

I glared and grabbed her wrist causing a burn on her.

"Izzy. Breathe," my mom said.

"Please just bring me to my room. Im fine. I just need sleep," I said.

"Izzy are you sure?"

"Mom please. Im just stressed. Father is causing me too much stress. Demetri is... Hes too good to do this to him"

"Izzy did you imprint?" She whispered.

"No mom I didnt. He is just nice. And he isnt like others. He has emotion and cares about people,"

"Izzy dont get attached. Your father will kill you and you know I wont be able to help," she said.

Okay Izzy. Breathe. Your mom cant know. Sorry Jess for this. "Mom. I didnt imprint. Im overwhelmed. Trust me. I would never imprint on a vampire. I dont even know how Jess did. All vampires kill including Demetri," I said. It hurt to say that. It really hurt to say that. "I dont care about vampires. Its just overwhelming," I said.

"I understand," she said.

Angela sighed.  "Take this. Itll help you sleep," she said. "This will knock her out for 12 hours have someone watch her. It can cause sleepwalking,"

"Ill have Jess stay with her once she is done with Demetri," my mom said.

I took the pill and my mom picked me up.

"Did you imprint?" My mom asked me quietly.

"No," I whispered and rested my head against her chest as I drifted off.
