"Ill be fine mom just let me sleep," I whispered as she laid me down on the bed.

"Of course sweetheart," my mother said.

I pulled the blankets over me curling up on my side. I began to feel a bit light headed and my body felt heavy then I closed my eyes and drifted off

I sat in my office looking at the computer blankly. All I wanted to do was leave. I hate this. After several minutes I grabbed Demetri's file and stood up.

Something was wrong.

I dont know what is but something is wrong.

Quickly I walked to Demetris room, I unlocked the door and entered.

He layed on the floor cracks were all along his face and neck. His head detached from his body, his eyes were half open.

Pain instantly filled my entire body. It felt as if my soul shattered.

There stood my father.

He killed him.

He killed the love of my life.

"You killed him," I whispered.

"What do you except you stupid child. You imprinted on him. Been saving him from the tests. Lying. Your little friend told me," He said

I looked over my shoulder seeing Jess. Her head was down.

"I loved him," I whispered and dropped to my knees. "I loved him," I said once again. I moved my hands reaching over grabbing his head attempting to reattach it to his body.

I closed my eyes. "Please heal him. Please," I whispered focusing on my pain and the love I felt for him. But it was no use. It was too late. I was too late. "Kill me father," I whispered.

"No," he said simply, "You must live with this. These are the consequences of what happens when you imprint,"

"I want you to kill me," I said not looking up at him just looking down at Demetris body.

"No," he said once again and grabbed my upper arm yanking me up from the floor. "Youre going to help me dispose of him,"

"No Im not," I said to him.

I winced feeling his hand smack my cheek.

"You will not disobey me," he said.

"Im done," I told him. "Im done working for you," I said and turned walking away.

"Get your ass back in this room now," My fathers words were loud and harsh. But I didnt stop. I just continued walking.

"Im sorry Izzy It slipped" Jess said grabbing ly harm.

"Go to hell," I said grabbing her arm. "Fire," I whispered under my breath. I continued to hold her arm with one hand but my other hand wrapped around her neck then I focused on the words fire and her skin begun to burn.

She dropped to the floor screaming out in pain as her body lit with fire.

I walked out of the facility.

I took out Demetri's phone. I was too late. One day to late. We were going to leave.

I dialed Aro's number.

It answered on the first ring. "Are you home"

I closed my eyes. "No," I whispered. "Hes gone,"

I walked to Izzy's room. This isnt good. Her mom is on to us. How do I protect her. Shes my best friend.

I entered Izzy's room she was laying on her bed tossing and turning. I moved over to her and touched her forehead. "Shh youre okay," I said to her.

She let out a loud whine, her breath fast.

What did they give her?

I shook her shoulder. "Izzy wake up," I said.

She coughed a bit then sat upright. Sweat on her forehead her cheeks pale. Her eyes were cloudy. Shes still in a dream like state. Shit.

"Hes gone. Hes gone..." She spoke. "Demetri. DEMETRI!" she said then stood up.

"Izzy. Izzy breathe," I said grabbing onto her arms. "Shhh someone will hear. Izzy," I repeated.

"What did you do. You caused this!" She screamed at me her hand around my throat.

"Izzy," I coughed. "Izzy. Look at me. Look at me," I said "You were dreaming," coughed again. "Stop youre hurting me," I gasped feeling my skin on fire.

"Demetri," she said "Demetri," she spoke panicked then backed away her eyes turning normal.

"Jess," She said and dropped to her knees

"Come here. Come here," I said pulling her onto my lap. "You're okay what happened?"

"Demetri... Dead. I need to check on him," she said. "Something isnt right Jess. Something isnt right," she sobbed.

"Demetri is fine. I just got done with him. I had to do the repeat test. He reacted normally. Hes fine. I promise," I said.

"No something is wrong!" She said and pulled out of my arms standing up heading out of her room.

I followed her and she went to Demetris room. There was another person in there. Casey. Why was he in there.

IZZY POV

I stood up from Jess's grasp and headed to Demetris room.

Casey was there holding Demetri by the throat.

"Get your hands off him now Casey!" I yelled.

"He needs to be punished he wont take the pill,"

I didnt believe it. "Jess look at the footage and being my mom back with you. See if Demetri did anything wrong. I dont trust him," I said.

"Okay," Jess said quietly and moved out of the room.

"Casey I will deal with it, leave before I hurt you," I said.

"Why are you so attached to this one,"

"Im not I just dont believe You. You always try to find.... Just GO," I yelled at him.

"Your father will be hearing about this," he said with a chuckle.

I glared and pinned him against the wall.  "You tell my father about anything I will kill you just like you kill and hurt your subjects," I threatened him.

"Izzy," My moms voice came through worry there touching my shoulder. "Let Casey go. I will deal with it," She said.

"Mom... he was messing with him. He said he needed to be punished..."

"Because the nurse forgot to mark it. He already took it," Jess voice chimed in.

"Casey leave. Ill talk to the nurse and mark he took it," my mom said.

"Demetri sorry about this complication. It wont happen again,"

Demetri nodded tense. 

I closed my eyes. "Izzy you are dismissed for the day. Ive set everything up. You will stay with Jess for the time being,"

"Okay," I said weakly. "I need to sit down," I whispered feeling dizzy.

"Its the pill darling. You should still be asleep," My mom said.

"Im sorry for Casey," I whispered looking at Demetri before I collapsed. Demetri catching me.
