"KAI ARE YOU ready to leave yet?" i looked away from my phone and heard my dad yell from the bottom of the steps, i looked back at my phone and continued to read the odd message rowan had sent.
'what ever happens, you know i'll always love you. i love you, i love you, i love you kai. i'll see you whenever <3'
odd message right?
"yeah, let me just get my water bottle." i jogged into the kitchen and saw my mum in the dining room, "i'll see you later mum" i kissed her cheek and grabbed the bottle out of the fridge and ran inside the car.
"kai put your seatbelt on." my dad points out, i fastened my seatbelt on and noticed we were heading the same direction of rowans house.
"dad can we go to rowan's quickly, she's awake right now so it'll be alright." my dad nodded his head and instead of taking the left turn, he took the right.
pulling over to her street i noticed about two moving boxes outside her house and some person putting a sign outside her home. i quickly took my seatbelt off and ran straight to her front porch and started yelling at the person who was putting the 'for sale' sign up.
"kai! stop!" i felt my dad pull me away from the guy and started confirming me, "i'm sorry about my son, what's happening? someone lives in there you know."
"well the family in here has recently moved out just hours ago." the guy sent us both a small smile.
"wait, what do you mean moved out hours ago?" i take my dads arms off me and stood up walking closer to this person.
"well the family who were living here moved, they seemed they were in a rush. oh yeah and this one girl asked me if someone called kai came over to give him something."
"well uh, i'm kai." i scratched my neck as i watched the man searching around his pockets.
there it was, he pulled out the purple beaded bracelets me and rowan had. that bracelet held many memories, yet she promised to keep it no matter what.
i felt betrayed.
i was betrayed.
...
"darling why are you- kai!" my mum stood up conceded as she watched me enter the house in pure anger.
i ignored her and stormed inside my bedroom, i then rested my back against the door and sat down with my hands in my hair, i harshly tugged on my hair with hot streams of tears flowing down.
"rowan moved away." my dads voice muffled behind the door, "the santos' have moved to london."
"kai" i hear my mums soft voice, "open the door please. let's talk." quietly i stood up and opened the door to let both my parents inside.
