Zak didn't care about the girls name at all, but when she put her hand out, inviting Zak to shake it, he knew he couldn't escape this situation that easily.

He briskly took Ava's hand, shaking it lightly before letting go of it, placing his hand on his thigh, sneakily wiping his hand on his pants.

Maybe Zak was being a bit to rude, but then again, was he supposed to just be nice?

"It's nice to meet you, Darryl here has told me loads about you," Ava said cheerfully, Zak couldn't care less about what she was saying.

"Nice to meet you too, Darryl has told me nothing about you." He said in a half cold, half sweet tone, smiling innocently.

He felt a nudge to his rib, then looked over at Darryl, who was giving him a glare that silently yelled at him.

Zak huffed, leaning back into the couch as Ava started talking, he didn't pay attention to what she was saying, zoning out as soon as she opened her mouth.

"Oo, we should go somewhere! Like all together!" Ava exclaimed as soon as Zak decided to zone back in, not fully, just enough to register some of the words being said.

"Oh that's a good idea!" Darryl replied in the same tone as Ava, a large smile spreading on his face, he glanced over at Zak, who was staring at the blank Tv, hardly listening.

"Can we, Zak?" Darryl asked in a pleading tone, Zak looked over at him, looking obviously confused.

"Can we what?" Zak turned his body, leaning his back on the arm rest on the couch, staring into Darryl's eyes.

"Can we go somewhere with Ava sometime soon? So it could be like a bonding experience?" Darryl spoke, his voice filled with excitement.

"Sure," Zak replied plainly, bringing his feet on the couch and tucking his thighs to his chest.

"Yay! We should plan now! When should we go? Where should we go?!" Ava blabbered, her voice sounding like knifes in Zak's ears.

"Oh my goodness, calm down you silly muffin!" Darryl laughed breathily, his gaze on Ava again.

"We will plan it all out soon," Darryl finished, smiling wide, Zak watched as Ava wrapped her arms around Darryl, hugging him tightly.

Zak felt his expression harden, but he didn't care. Sure, he was probably being petty, and selfish as well, but he didn't care.

He didn't care one bit, he'd willingly soak up in his sadness rather then watch whatever this is unfold.

Darryl laughed softly, hugging Ava and ruffling his hair before she pulled away, giving him a playful glare.

"Stop ruffling my hair, you big muffin!" Ava let out, bringing her hands to her hair to fix it, still giving Darryl a light glare.

Zak hated how she used the word "muffin."

"Sorry, sorry!" Darryl raised his hands in defense, Zak held back a scoff, he couldn't put into words how much he hated being near Ava.

Well that is how much he hated being around her at this moment, and probably all moments actually.

"I'm gonna grab a drink. Do you guys want anything?" Zak asked through gritted teeth, trying to make some way of escape.

"Sure, I'll have a water please." Darryl smiled sweetly, Zak felt his heart flutter at his friendliness.

"I second the water as well, please," Ava added, Zak simply nodded, then stood up, walking over to the kitchen and letting out a sigh.

He wouldn't be able to do much in the kitchen, since one of the two people sitting on his couch could turn and see him, so his options were limited.

He leaned his elbows on the chilly counter, a small shiver running up his spine, he shook it off, letting out a small sigh.

He moved away from the price of furniture, going to one of the overhead cabinets and grabbing three cups, placing them down.

He filled each one individually, being able to clearly hear the laughter from the two behind him.

Zak began to wonder what they were laughing about.

Were they laughing about Zak behind his back? Darryl wouldn't do that, right?

Zak shook his head, shaking his thoughts away, he sighed deeply, then grabbed two cups, heading over to the couch and placing them on the coffee table.

"Drinks are served," He cooed playfully, trying to ignore the burning hate for the girl just to the side of him.

"Thank you very much, kind sir." Ava joked, reaching over and grabbing one of the cups, bringing it over to her lips and taking a sip.

"Thanks!" Zak smiled lightly as he watched Darryl reach for the other cup, grabbing it and mimicking what Ava did.
