Once Sasha entered her house, the first thing she did was sit on her couch and let out a long sigh out of exhaustion.
"You guys have no idea how relieved I am that Levi's plan actually worked." Sasha stated. "Except for there being one casualty." You said, taking a seat next to her.
"You're right, but things could've been worse." Mikasa added, joining the conversation by making her way to the couch.
She rested her head on your thighs and laid the rest of her body across the sofa. "But the only reason he survived was because of y/n." She mentioned, looking up into your eyes and letting out a small smile.
"Mhm." You replied back, looking down at her while playing with Mikasa's hair, running your fingers through it.
"Oh, before I forget, Levi wanted me to give you this." Sasha said, handing Mikasa a single white envelope. "
What is it?" Mikasa asked. "It's a letter from Eren, you were in his will." Sasha stated.
The whole room went silent for 5 solid seconds until Mikasa spoke, "I don't wanna read it."
"Mikasa, I know he cheated on you and I'm not defending him, but can you at least read it? Eren's dead, it's not like you'll ever have to hear from him again." Sasha informed her.
"Fine." Mikasa uttered, taking the envelope and reading it. She cleared her voice and read the letter out loud.
Dear Mikasa,
If you receive this letter it's because I'm no longer in this world. I'm going to keep this brief because I know we aren't necessarily on the best terms. During our relationship, I wasn't faithful and till this day, I regret it. You honestly deserve better. In a way, I'm glad that y/n is in your life now. She's a great person who deserves your love... To incorporate both of you in my will, I've decided to give you both $500,000. If the time ever comes that somehow you're not in prison anymore, I want you to have this. I know that this won't fix everything I've put you through but I just hope that one day you'll find it in your heart to forgive me.
