This was the story sent to me by HaliMiller. She is a fun person to talk to and I really enjoyed getting to know her and having her idea put into this book. The attached media is what Tess and I think James would look like.
~Scar & Tess
The Assignment: Choose a major event in US history and write a fictional story about it from an animal's point of view.
All of the men were talking. Very loudly, I might add. I suppose that comes with having heightened hearing and being a cat. They were discussing something about "laws". Whatever those are. I was sitting outside the door of a large room. I wanted to get in there, I felt like I was missing out on something because I wasn't in that room with all those loud men.
It does seem rather boring, I thought, but the men seemed quite happy to argue over something called "politics". Suddenly the door swung open and two men came out of the room, followed by several more. They were all talking about a "Constitution". I slipped into the room and instantly recoiled. UGH! Sweaty, stinky, man smell! Yuck! I quickly made my way to a large wooden structure. I leaped onto it quickly; and noticed an inkwell, and a feather (to my delight), and a large piece of off-white paper that had scribbles on it that looked something like this: We The People... there was more, but it won't change my life, so it isn't important. That is all for today,
Signed,
James Cat
