Fencing and Facing Feelings

Not to trash y'all but there were no ideas, anyway my friends helped me out a little now ON WITH THE CHAPTER!

Lucy's Pov:

We were walking from class after another reporter fiasco and like always Jay was flirting with every girl he saw.

"Why do you torture them? Just pick someone to go to catilian with already." Carlos asks as we walk.

"I'm not going to that way I can dance with all of them." Jay replies with.

"Ah you are the master." Carlos sarcastically comments.

I roll my eyes at their antics "you boys are so cute when you think you know best with girls." I got a giggle from Evie with that one.

Then Carlos stops and asks Jay seriously "hey Jay if you were gonna ask someone what's the best way to go?" Oh poor naive little Carlos asking Jay the right way with girls when he had three right there to ask.

Jay let's out a disappointed sigh "listen all you gotta do" He left Carlos hanging for more "is look like me" Jay finishes.

"Oh haha" Carlos was not pleased that Jay teased with him like that but it was pretty funny.

Jane then come running up. "Mal!" She cries in relief.

Carlos suddenly gets the look of a love sick puppy upon sight. "Jane." He breaths out.

"Hey!" She cheerfully greets him.

"I was wondering if..." He trails off looking at her. Yes good start Carlos just finish the question. They got into this little staring match with eachother but anyone could see they were pinning for one another. "If you liked the carrot cake last night?" Carlos ends the question. Ooooo so close yet so far.

"Actually I had the pumpkin pie." Jane answers still obviously waiting for him to ask.

"Oh um ah" He started tripping over his words Jay then comes up behind him and stears him away by his shoulders.

"Smooth." He whispers to him as the walk away.

I turn to Mal and Evie. "I'll catch up with you guys later I promised I'd watch fencing try outs see you later!" I walk toward Jay and Carlos laughing at the failed attempt I just witnessed.

"Alright boys let's line it up! Carlos you're with me let's go."

I must admit that Jay has taken his role as captain real seriously I'm proud of him.

The guys line up as Jay calls out instructions. "Asamble, salute, lower the point, masks down, on guard, GO!" they begin to duel eachother around the amphitheater.

They dance around and fence as Jay calls out helpful pointers until they all stand in a circle as two opponents take on Jay together. Everyone stops to watch as the three duel. The moves of the two opponents looked familiar but I couldn't quite place them. As they continue to fight all three lock swords one takes Jay's as the continue the fight. Throwing it back they wnd the duel and the opponents take their masks off.

It was Lani and Hera! All the girls including me started cheering for the girls. They were so good and definitely deserved a spot!

"Not bad" Jay comments.

"Yeah you should put us on the team." Hera response back.

Jay shrugs obviously about to when prince not so charming butted in. "No way we'll be the laughing stock of the league and what's next girls playing turnery come on guy."
