Saturday morning Melvin is asleep in his room. He suddenly is awoken by the shrill screams of his alarm clock. He slumps out of bed and goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth. While he is brushing his teeth his phone beeps. He had a notification, a text from Harold; "Hey what time do you wanna meet at the park? Melvin had completely forgot, but urgent to go he replied "now would be fine" He quickly got ready and ran to the door. But then he remembered that his Dad should know before he leaves
Gaylord (his dad) was a very neglectful father. Melvin's mom could be that way at times as well but Gaylord was worse. He always ignored Melvin's safety and feelings over inventions. "Dad I'm going to the park, I'll be back later."
"Sense when do you go outside? This isn't like you." His father said. "I just thought it would be fun." Melvin's father walked over to him and looked him in the eyes. "Okay fine" Melvin walked out the door.
(This chapter was short but I'll try to do more on this even though I lost interest in making this fan fiction)
