Xavier's journal
As I looked out my window, I couldn't believe my eyes. This was it, the school that I had heard so much about, and yet knew so little. It loomed over the hills like a castle straight out of a storybook, its spires piercing the sky. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement and fear. What would my life be like here? Would I make friends, or be an outcast? My mother had insisted that this was a fresh start, a new chapter in my life. After spending so much time in the hospital, she wanted me to live the life I deserved. I had been through so much, and this was my reward. Even if it was in some boarding school in New York, far away from my parents.
In the final moments before his departure, Xavier diligently checks his list of belongings, muttering to himself, "One blue pen, one black pen, earphones, iPod... hmm... am I missing anything?" Satisfied with his packing, he turns to his mother, who stands nearby.
"How about that goodbye kiss with your mom before you go kiddo," she says, a hint of amusement in her voice. She leans in and plants a big smooch on his cheeks. "This is a good thing Xavier. You'll make new friends, be in a new place-" she starts, but Xavier interrupts her. "I won't have you with me though, mom. There hasn't been a day where you haven't been by my side," Xavier smiles wistfully, gazing into his mother's eyes. "I'll call every night," she reassures him, and Xavier nods, trying to convince himself that everything will be okay without her.
As I made my way to the school, I couldn't help but notice the strange looks I was getting from the people around me. It was as if they knew something I didn't. And then it happened, a ticket officer pointed towards a direction in the sewers that go underneath the subway station. Confused and irritated, I tried to find another officer that could help me, but I was stopped again. The officer demanded that I go to the sewers. Before I knew it, I was dropped to the floor of the sewers, and faced with a terrifying creature. Its rotting skin and foul smell made me want to run, but I was frozen in fear. As the ominous figure attacks me in the dark and murky sewers, I struggle to defend my helpless self. But just as the demon was about to deliver the final blow, a mysterious woman appeared out of nowhere, wielding a shining silver sword.
The woman moved with grace and skill as she engaged the creature in a fierce battle. Her sword clashed against the demon's flaming claws, creating a shower of sparks that illuminated the dark sewers.
Xavier watched in awe as the woman fought with the strength and agility of a seasoned warrior. He could feel the power emanating from her sword, as if it senses his presence.
Despite the demon's relentless attacks, the woman managed to dodge and parry its every move, gradually wearing it down. Finally, with a swift and powerful strike, she delivered the final blow that shattered the demon's mask and revealed its true form; before it dissipates into fire and flies. but before the demon can disappear from their site, Xavier is struck by a blinding light, where he becomes transported somewhere; elsewhere. It's a dark and hellish room. He sees a dark figure ahead, but the same demon as well the mysterious lady had just slain bowing in front of him. "Bring me the boy, unharmed." The dark figure demands. "Yes, my queen." The demon responds. Xavier, taken aback, returns back to reality. The woman turned to Xavier and offered him a hand. He accepted gratefully, knowing that he wouldn't have survived the encounter without her.
Breathing heavily, Xavier stared at the woman in disbelief. Who was she, and how did she possess such incredible fighting skills? And what was the creature, and why did it attack him?
The woman smiled faintly, as if reading his thoughts. "My name is Illyana," she said, "i'm headmistress of the academy one of my students was supposed to guide you too. The creature you just faced was Beelzebub, one of the most powerful and dangerous demons in existence. It seems that you have caught its attention, but don't worry, I'll help you find out why. I will tell you everything you want to know. But for now, we need to get out of here."As we made our way out of the sewers in a flashing light that almost blinds me, I couldn't help but feel like I was stepping into a new world. A world of magic and mystery, of danger and adventure. And I knew that this was just the beginning of my journey at this school. A journey that would change my life forever.
