saebyeok hit the cold floor as she was thrown to the ground harshly. she struggled to get free from the restraints that were on her wrists and ankles, just like last time, but this time, it was just her and no one else to help. she felt the cold wind blow and suddenly, the rain falling into her half naked body.

"mummy!" she heard a little child's gasp. "look!" she then heard two people running towards her. "oh gosh." an older woman's voice was heard as she felt her untie her hands and take off her blindfold.

saebyeok immediately sat up and reached down to untie her ankles, and when she did, she saw a square card tucked in between the rope and her ankle. she picked it up and read it.

she hurriedly untied the rope and stood up. she put on her clothes that were creased up in a bag and ran to the location. she didn't care about the rain, and that it was drenching her clothes, all she could care about was park eunji.

barging through the doors of the hospital and getting stares from people who were sat in the waiting room, but just like before, kang saebyeok didn't care.

"park eunji!" she said out of breath to the lady at the front desk. "where is she?!"

"oh, i'm sorry ─"

"no..." saebyeok shook her head, already thinking of the worst outcome.

"i'm sorry, but we can't let you see her just yet. please have a seat in the waiting room and i'll tell you if i get any news."

saebyeok felt relieved at the news and nodded. she slowly walked over to one of the seats and sat herself down. she looked around for a moment and saw a magazine laying around on a table. she reached forward and picked it up and began to flick through the pages.

as she did, a certain page caught her eyes. it was a picture of a beautiful house. it wasn't too big and it wasn't too small. she thought for a moment, her, eunji, cheol, her mother and eunji's mother living under that roof would be a dream.

saebyeok didn't even feel herself drifting off to sleep, it was only when her head hit the wall behind her causing her to quickly open her eyes.

it was still heavily raining outside and the sound of the water droplets hitting the windows of the hospital seemed to calm saebyeok and send her off to sleep again.

"excuse me, miss." the desk lady shook saebyeok's shoulder and the girl immediately woke and sat up straight, frightened that it was one of the guards or maybe even deoksu. but then she remembered, she wasn't at that place anymore and deoksu was dead.

"miss park eunji is awake and she's asking for you." the woman smiled sweetly and saebyeok's eyes widened. "where is she?" she asked, standing up and looking down at the lady.

"room 68, but please be gentle, she's still recovering." the woman told her and saebyeok nodded before heading to the room.

once she made it, she let out a sigh and knocked on the door. a soft, 'come in' was heard and she walked in.

saebyeok immediately smiled at the sight of her girlfriend sitting up and flicking through the channels of the tv.

"hey, eunji." she grinned and walked over to her. "how are you? it doesn't still hurt, right?" she asked, worried still.

eunji let out a chuckle. "not as much since i'm on pain killers... thank you." she smiled looking up at her. saebyeok's eyebrows furrowed, confused. "for what?"

"for not staying at that place and competing against gihun. i don't know what i'd do if you died."

saebyeok's mouth fell open slightly and put her hands on her hips with a massive grin on her faces "if i died? you almost died in my arms."

eunji playfully rolled her eyes and moved over in the bed and patted the space beside her. "get on." she said and without hesitation, saebyeok got up and sat beside her with her arm now around the younger girls shoulder.

"i'm so thankful that you're okay." saebyeok whispered into eunji's hair as she kissed her forehead. a small smiled appeared on the girls face. "i'm glad we're both okay, because now, we can live our lives together."
