I don't think I had notice Ruby or Billy's sudden appearance I was too focused on keeping away the ones we already had. BANG! BANG! BANG! I flinched at the noise of mine and Ziggys guns firing, it was slightly working for now but we couldn't hold them off forever. "FUCK YOU!" I cried out still shooting. We kept trying as long as we possibly could before they started closing in on us both as josh screamed in pain, he was fighting off a clearly stronger Ruby Lane. Shit, when'd he get out here- no. Focus he'll be fine...he's a tough kid... No- I can't! I can't leave him there.
I glanced at Ziggy and gave her a look, she knowingly nodded. I broke away from the position to try and help Josh. I think his arm was broken when he finally got her off. I was returning to Ziggy to help her again without realising the position she was in.
She was trying to flee Tommy swinging his axe at her, then she tripped. My whole life flashed before my eyes, this couldn't be happening. Not again. Not now, not after everything we've been through? I never even got to ask ... I had to help her. I had to at least try.
I ran forward as he raised his axe, just as he was about to bring it down he just...vanished? They all did they were just flies now. "She did it" Josh breathed out on the floor. I ran to my lover and held her. "You see this? She fucking did it!" I smiled and began crying. "She did...she actually did" Ziggy replied in disbelief. She held me closer as we laughed giddily... it was finally fucking over.
