Chapter Four

Fae's Pov
For the first few couple of weeks it was a little odd getting use to that I wasn't home and that these were new people. I knew Carlisle from such a long time ago, that I had barely even remembered all the knowledge he knew.  My main focus was always just studying Renesmee for it fascinated me, her growth was remarkable. Hearing the blood  flow yet at the same time her vampire abilities as well. Made the realization wash down that having children never again wouldn't be an option for me and hasn't been for many decades.

Along the way I've taken my time getting know the Cullen household and their many guest/witnesses since vegetarian vampires had such a different life style from us.

And Edward, my was he a special one. Always picking through this head of mine, it was a small awkward start between us both but since Renesmee seemed to oddly cling  to me a lot resulted in me and Edward spending time together from time to time.

I tilted my head sitting on the steps of the back porch watching everyone train was quiet amusing all with these talented gifts and all. "Fae! Come join us." I snapped my eyes away for just a moment clearing my throat in full confusion, I wasn't paying attention for that one split second.  Yet I still got up walking across the grass in confusion standing next to Edward who flashed a smile my way.

"We were just showing off our gifts. I don't think you've quite explained yours." He told me in a soft tone. I blinked once then twice clearing my thoughts for a moment nodding my head a couple times.

"Well yes- so I sort of like to think of it as like a precaution like gift. Where I can sense danger nearing me and others before it happens. So in simple terms you can't hit me or attack me without me knowing ahead of time. Like a future gift." Kate looked at me somewhat impressed like sending me a small smirk.

"Can I test it out?" I lazily nodded my head a few times watching as the electric sparks of her gift flew out. Emmett was peeking curious like, but before Kate could even lunge towards me to pin me down I had already used my speed to appear behind her slamming her into the ground pinning her down with ease, seeing a lot of shocked eyes watching me wide eyed. I stood back up brushing the dirt off my pants casually speaking.

"Well so there. " I answered getting a soft chuckle in response from Edward shaking his head. Kate was grumbling as she was helped up off the ground.

"Has anyone ever been able to harm you?" He questioned  to me his arms folded firmly over his chest.

"Maybe once if I'm was distracted but even so it's always like a quick jolt that has my body moving with ease." I answered bashful rubbing my hand all over the back of my head a couple times.

"Though you would know wouldn't you Edward always reading my thoughts you are." Another laugh left him quietly.

"Your thoughts aren't what I was expecting really Fae. It's kinda like seeing a time machine cause they are so random." I shot him a side look with some shy laughter shaking my head in disbelief now a little interested moving closer so the both of us could chat everyone now breaking off to groups.

"A time machine?" I questioned the both of us now walking side by side back towards the main house fully.

"It's more like your thoughts can drift to anything. I know you miss them they are your family." I faintly smiled my hands shoved into my back pants pocket speaking.

"I do miss Jane and Alec the most. Not biologically but they felt like my own children I lost that chance many centuries ago. Maybe that's why I gravitate towards Renesmee. She's a really sweet girl you're a doing a good job Edward." Faintly he smiled at the grass almost like he was shy like.

"Thank you Fae... I would like to think Bella would think so. Sometimes it doesn't feel so real that she's gone and that she didn't get to see her." I could tell he was very pained I gave his arm a gentle squeeze reassuring him the best I could.

"I'm sure she knows Edward and you keep doing amazing." He smiled at me once again both of us entering the the back door.

"Thank you Fae though we didn't start off on a good start I'm glad you are here." I flashed him another grin, carefully moving out the way when Renesmee had come running out from where Jacob and Esme were reading to her rushing to hug Edward's legs causing his whole mood to shift from the sadness to happiness hugging her happily as he lifted her up. I studied this male with such a soft smile my fingers slightly tapping over my chin a couple times.

Yeah... Can't lie that saying spending time with Edward from time to time was peaceful in its own way. He was a nerd no doubt about it. A hard laugh left him seeing him shooting me the most playful look he could muster out.

Oops... Gotta work on that don't I.
