As soon as after a few days in the house, everyone was hard at work maintaining the place, checking all the weapons, building carts and wagons, gathering supplies, finding animals and many others. The Lorax on the other hand got worried about the Once-ler.
Lincoln: Okay what's wrong.
Lorax: I am worried about Once-ler.
Twister: Why?
Lorax: That's because he hasn't returned yet and I am still worried about him.
Chuckie: I bet he'll come back.
Lorax: But who knows where he would be at. Either he could be hurt, robbed or even worse kidnapped.
Samey: Don't worry, we'll find him if we can.
Lincoln: Perhaps we should do it now.
Everyone nodded in agreement as they formed a search party. Lincoln brings the friends he gathered from the beginning while the others stayed behind. They soon set off to find the Onceler. It was a bit hard to see (it was foggy down to where they are) because of all that smogged, misty, radiation fog around them. But Lincoln was determined to find the Once-ler or die trying.
Ginger: Let's make sure we're all on guard.
That was until they heard someone calling for help. Lincoln and the group quickly run to the source of the noise. Despite the thick fog, they were able to see who it was. The Onceler and his mule Melvin. The Once-ler was in his young self again and had the cart with him, but was stuck in a tarpit.
Lorax: Beanpole!
Once-ler: Guys, you're here! Get us the blazes out of here because of this tar.
Ginger: Don't panic, we'll have you out in a jeffy.
The group got to each side of the pit, grabbed anything reachable from the cart and the latter, and all started to pull or push. They tried their hardest, but to no avail as the cart, mule and person were too embedded in the tar.
Twister: What are we gonna do Lincoln?
Then suddenly they see a large dog coming their way. It wasn't any dog, but a Siberian tiger hound and it was as big as a horse! But judging by the appearance and happy look, it was Spike! When he was young again.
All: Spike?!
And that was not all, a figure appeared by jumping and swinging from building to building. The figure then jumps into view. He has purple hair, wears a blue and green striped shirt, brown pants, red and white hi-top sneakers, and has black war paint on his face. To everyone, they knew who it was: Tommy!
All: Tommy!
Tommy: That's right y'all!
He jumps down and gestures for Spike to help them pull the cart, Once-ler and Melvin out of the tar. With the help of their returned friends, they'd pulled them all out together. Once at, everyone cheered.
Lincoln: Thanks Tommy and Spike.
Tommy: You welcome and guess who's here.
Four more figures appeared out of a deserted apartment building and they were Doug, Rocko, Spunky and Porkchop unscathed.
All: Lincoln?
Lincoln: Guys! Thank goodness you're alive!
Rocko: You too mate.
It soon cuts to the gang all at the summerhouse organizing themselves and even Chuckie, Phil and Lil were glad to see their childhood friend still alive. Rocko explained how everyone at a party they hoisted ran because Heffer (one of the guests) turned into a monster. Doug tells them that he, Rocko, Kimi and Tommy had locked themselves in the living room to escape. And then escaped through the front window to help their other friends out of here. But did mention that after they escaped, Spike mutated in size and has youth back, but to make matters worse: Doug tells them that Kimi has been kidnapped by Miles and Laurie while heading for safety.
Lincoln: I am sorry to hear that.
Tommy: Yes, if only I was fast enough to stop them. And I did, I could've saved her.
Lincoln: Don't be hard on yourself Tommy.
Tommy: But I failed to rescue her and the worst part about it is that she is my best friend's stepsister.
Chuckie: I know you tried your best, but don't feel bad because we'll find her.
Tommy: *sighs* Okay.
