Ch. 17: Our Love Song (NaLu)

One day, the stars shinin' so briiiight.

You grabbed unto me, and you being in my arms felt so right.

But the tears in your eyes, the way you were crying,

And about that same stupid guy lying.

You couldn't see my face as you held unto meIt was my love you couldn't see.

Just when I feel that we're a little closer,

And like that we could be together.

You turn your back on me.

Saying that it was never meant to be.

You lied and stole my everything.

Leaving me for him.

To me, now you're nothin'.

"Hi Natsu."

I looked up and saw the owner of the chirpy voice, it was Lucy.

I smiled up at her, I was so busy sitting down on the park bench, writing my song, that I didn't notice her coming. I hope my senses aren't starting to get dull.

She smiled back and then the song I was writing grabbed her attention so she snatched it away from my hands.

I panicked. OH NO! She can't look at it!

I tried to get it back, but my legs were all wobbly from sitting down too long so my attempts were futile.

She started to read it.

When she was done, a gloomy expression appeared on her face. She looked at me sadly.

"Another song about Lisanna huh?"

I couldn't answer, anytime Lisanna's name was mentioned a cold dread settled over my heart.

She looked at me, but I looked away. I couldn't stand to see my friend in so much pain because of my past crush on Lisanna.

I could hear her sigh.

'Well, I don't like the idea of you writing songs about Lisanna. I think it's time for you to write a different type of song, and maybe... move on."

She mumbled the last part so I couldn't hear what she said, but I didn't need too.

Lucy bent over and... kissed me on the cheek.

Before I could stutter out anything in my suprise, she blushed and bounced away.

I blushed red too. Why is she so cute?

I looked at the song in my hands again. Thank God she didn't see the last part of the song.

By the time you try coming back to me crying

I'm gonna have to tell you to stop trying.

I'm in love with a different cutie,

And her name's Lucy.
