Voices

Aubrey sat in her car, the soft sound of music playing on her radio, the light hum of the car running making her ears buzz, She had been crying for what felt like forever, she wiped away the tears on her cheeks, she couldn't believe he did that, after everything, he still cheated,

"You know you could've done better" she heard someone say she looked around, scared from the unfamiliar voice she heard in her car, but she saw no one

"I think I'm going crazy" she mumbled

"No your not" the voice said again

She looked around and again she saw no one

"Who's there"

"I'm a figure of your imagination, I'm the little voice inside your head, that gives you intrusive thoughts" the voice said

"Oh god I am going crazy" she mumbled

"I promise I'm only here to help, You shouldn't have got back with him, after he cheated once you should know not to go back again, but you went back 3 times, and you want to go back again don't you" the voice said

"..no"

"See now your lying to your self, and that's not good, I'm not saying not to go back, but know your worth Aubrey, you may love him but is he really The Best You Ever Had" the voice said

She let out a sigh

"And what do you expect me to do?"

There was no answer,

"Hello, hey are you there" Aubrey said looking around

But she still got no answer

There was a tapping on the window and she looked over seeing a guy standing in her window, she rolled it down

"Uh hello" she said

"Hey, are you okay, you kinda look crazy talking to yourself" he said smiling

"Oh, I wasn't talking to my self I was talking to the- to my friend she called me and...I had her on speaker" Aubrey said smiling at the boy

"Oh, sorry to bother than, lol, I'm Toby by the way" he said

"Aubrey"

"Well nice talking to you crazy" he said winking at her

She smiled and shook her head

"You too, nosy" she said

He chuckled looking to the side and then looking back at her, his eyes where the most beautiful shade of brown, and his honey colored skin glowed in the light

"Have you been crying" he asked cocking his head to the side

She looked down

"No, just allergies" she lied

"Right?, look it's none of my business but if you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here" he said smiling, his smile was so perfect

Aubrey smiled, lost in a train of thought

"Here's my number just in case" he said pulling out a pen from his bag, he ripped off a piece of paper from his sketchbook and wrote down his number

"Give me a call sometime crazy" he said before smiling

Aubrey nodded watching as he walked away from her car, his little tall boy waddle making her giggle

"Moving on I see" she heard the little voice say
