Aubrey sat in the waiting room, her leg bouncing in anticipation, as she waited for her name to be called to go to the back, she chewed on her bottom lip, and twisted her fingers

"Aubrey Beck?" The doctor called

She raised her head and stood up walking towards the doctor

"Hey, Miss Beck what seems to be the problem" The doctor asked as he took her to the back, he rubbed his hands together rubbing in the hand sanitizer he just put on

"I've recently been having a lot of pain, in my stomach, I just wanted to do a check up, on my son" Aubrey said

"Okay, have you had a history of these problems in your family" he said motioning her to go into the room

"No"

"Hmm, well we'll do an ultrasound and see what's going on, but I don't think it's very serious if you don't have a history of pregnancy pain" He said

She nodded and hopped up on the bed

"I'll be back, I have to get the machine, just lay down" he said walking out of the room, she nodded and laid down, letting out a small breath, her eyes fixated on the designs of the wall, the doctor came back in the room, with the ultrasound machine,

"Alright Sweetheart, just lift you shirt up" He said grabbing the gel

She lifted her shirt and he spread the cold gel on her stomach, she flinched

"Sorry 'bout that" he said smiling

"It's okay"

He grabbed the camera, pressing it on her stomach, looking at the computer, his smile faltered a bit

"Is everything okay" she said looking at him

"Um, hold on" he said moving around the camera, he searched for a heartbeat, but still couldn't find one

"What's going on" Aubrey said

"I- well"

He moved the camera around again after finding nothing again, he let out a sigh, grabbing the a towel and wiping the gel off her stomach

"What's happened" Aubreys said pushing down her shirt

"Um, Miss Beck I'm so sorry to tell you this but, your son passed, you miscarried" he said taking off his glasses

Aubrey let out a small gasp, her hand covering her mouth

"What" she whispered

"I'm so sorry, but I'd like to discuss the side affects for miscarries with you when you're ready

Aubrey was stiff, her breathing shallow, she couldn't believe it, she had been so excited for this and now it was gone,

"Miss Beck?" He said

She looked at him in shock

"I'll give you some space before we discuss" he said walking out of the room

Aubrey broke down crying on the bed, holding her stomach

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry it's my fault, I put myself in to much stress, I wasn't even thinking, I'm so sorry" she sobbed out

Her phone rang but she hung it up, not caring who it was or why they called

She sat in the room crying for 5 minutes before, the doctor came back in with tissues

"Here you go sweetie" he said she took the box wiping her face

"So I know it's hard, but you need to understand, you'll be in a lot of pain both, physically, emotionally" he said placing a hand on her knee
