WHEN ELIZA PUSHED THE DOOR TO THE DANCE STUDIO OPEN AND FOUND JAY ALREADY SITTING IN FRONT OF THE MIRRORS ON HIS PHONE. It made her stop in her tracks because this boy was not early for anything! She thought she'd be waiting at least twenty minutes before he showed up. So the fact she was looking at him, stare back at her with a bright grin on his face made her heart leap that he'd kept his promise to be on time.

"Cat got your tongue Taylor?"

Jay smirked as he hauled himself off the floor, to make his way towards her as she let the door swing close behind her, as she dropped her bag by the mirror before facing her former love.

"You're early?" Eliza cocked an eyebrow. "Have I stepped into the twilight zone?!"

The chortle that left the boy's mouth made the brunette grin at the noise. "I made you a promise, didn't I? Said I'd be here at nine on the dot and here I am!"

"That's never stopped you before! I know you, remember! And I'm sorry to tell you but your time keeping skills are shocking McGuiness!"

"Wow! I missed you too!"  Jay opened his arms, "Come on!"  He teased, rolling his eyes.

Mimicking his actions, Eliza rolled her eyes at her ex before rushing into his arms, wrapping her arms tightly around his middle as his arms enveloped her in his warm body. Squeezing tightly, Eliza took a deep breathe as she took in the moment with the boy; her bestie so willingly routed for her heart to return to, before hoping to push all emotional baggage aside so she could get her job done and enjoy her time with her dorky giant.

"So, what's the plan boss!"

"We've been given the jive, week one! So I want to show him when he comes in later! Plus I kinda want to just dance with you, I've missed it!" Eliza trailed off, almost becoming shy.

"Missed dancing or missed us?!"

Eliza swatted at his arm, "Dancing! Okay --both!"  She whispered the latter, afraid of falling into the rabbit hole of emotions.

Jay looked at his his former love with a fond smile. "Well, I hope you remember what you're doing Taylor. I am a professional you know!" He smirked at the brunette, who was gawping at him.

"Ohhhh I'm not messing about! It's on McGuiness!"

IT TURNS OUT SPENDING SEVERAL HOURS IN THE DANCE STUDIO WITH JAY WAS GOOD FOR THE SOUL. It made the entire world stop and it made it easier to focus on choreography ideas and the journey ahead. Instead of thinking about all the loss in her life, Jay being there gave her a purpose to move on and even though she admitted to both Taron and Naya that he was her first and true love. Eliza Taylor knew that more than anything that it wasn't there time anymore, even though those bubbling underlying feelings would always lie there. Jay was the best type of friend a person could wish for and she wanted to keep him as long as he'd have her too.

When AJ arrived in the dance studio that afternoon, Eliza couldn't help but beam that her partner got along with Jay and they were just a goofy as one another as they joked around. Performing their jive in front of AJ, sparked a passion she had missed performing in front of other people even though it was just him.
