ELIZA TAYLOR WAS GOING ON A BLIND DATE. Not that she was particularly excited considering all the other dates Naya Rivera had set her up on, hadn't exactly worked out. A friend of a friend of Ryan's who was a little weird to say the least. Then there was Charles who, despite having a face chiseled by the God's themselves, having the same sense of humour as her and god did they have chemistry! Once they got papped leaving the restaurant, had sent not only her own fans into meltdown but also the Riverdale fans who were still hardcore 'Charmila' fans. Were not exactly impressed he had moved on so quickly and the trolling was brutal, so they decided on just being friends — for now!

So as Eliza was finishing up getting ready to head to her date, she was quite rightly so nervous as to who she would be greeted with, that she nearly text Naya to say she wasn't going. But Eliza needed to put her big girl pants on and just get on with it because she knew Naya would only badger her to go on another date, had she cancelled on this one.

Pulling up in the uber, ordered by Naya. Eliza found herself stood outside Nice Guy and found herself straightening out her dress before entering the establishment and prayed this night would be over soon and or the man of her dreams was sat somewhere in this restaurant.

"Hi, I've got table booked under Schuester?"

Eliza greeted the stewardess, who greeted her with a warm smile and led her to a table near the back, out of the way of prying eyes. As they approached the table, all Eliza could hear was the clicking of her heels before the stewardess announced they were at the table before departing.

Eliza stopped in front of the table and froze. Her date stood up from the table. They two of them looked at one another in silence before shaking their heads in a disbelief.

Moving towards one another, her date kissed Eliza on the cheek before he pulled out her chair before sitting down himself and sending her a warm smile. Raising their glasses, the brunette reached forward to clink her glass against his in a cheers.

"Naya Rivera has a lot to answer to!" Eliza laughed.

"Ohhh she'll be hearing from us, don't you worry!" Chord chuckled.

ELIZA AND CHORD LAUGHED NONE STOP OVER DINNER and the even though she knew Naya had done this on purpose, quite literally blindsiding them in order to get them on a date. She was still in two minds if to thank her or not for actually setting her up with someone she genuinely liked because the last thing she wanted was for her to get a big head but right now she didn't seem to care because she was actually enjoying herself.

"So did you have any inkling that it was me she was setting you up with?" Chord asked, as he leant on his hand to take her in.

"No!" Eliza chuckled. "It was a nice surprise though. Did you?"

"Nothing! She's always been sneaky like that though! You happy you got me though?" Chord reached out to hold on to Eliza's hand.

"Extremely! Let's just say Naya's match making skills haven't always been good!" The pair chuckling at the truth of the situation. "I think she's been planning this a while, she's wanted to get us together for years!"

"Hmmm" Chord hummed. "To be honest, we have always been good together. It's just never been right timing has it but we don't have to jump into anything. This could just be dinner if you wanted?" Chord's words put Eliza at ease, he almost seemed nervous. But Eliza knew him well enough by now that he didn't have to say anything and squeezed his hand that was already wrapped up in hers on top of the table.

"So -- Do you kiss on the first date?" 

Eliza threw her head back in laughter, not being able to contain her laughter as she looked back at a grinning Chord Overstreet. He was unbelievable."Why don't we head out and find out!" Eliza grinned as she grabbed onto Chord's awaiting hand and left.
