Your eyes gradually opened to reveal the forest floor of camp. You blinked a few more times to make sure what you saw was correct. Then you felt your pillow rise and fall beneath you, but it wasn't your pillow, and you weren't in your room nor on board a pirate ship. You were back at camp, and Peter's arms were wrapped around you as his chest provided a pillow. Slowly Peter's mouth curved into a smile.

"I know you're staring at me." He spoke in an amused gravely morning voice.

"No." You replied then quickly buried your face into his chest. He laughed and you could fell the rumble throughout his body.

He briefly lifted up his arms to stretch. "Good morning Beautiful."

You weren't sure how to respond. No one has ever spoken to you like Peter does, so you just said, "Morning." He brushed the hairs from your face and kissed your forehead. "Hey Peter."

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Why did you let me fall asleep on top of you? It can't be comfortable being trapped by me with the hard ground underneath and a log as back support."

"I don't mind, and I did try to take you up to your bed, but every time I moved I was worried you'd wake up. I didn't want to disturb your sleep after all you'd just been through. Plus, I liked having you close by, and I didn't have any trouble falling asleep once I knew you were safe again."

Peter's cuteness is unfair. That seemed to be the only thought running through your mind.

Peter reached for a canteen and took a sip then hand it to you, and you drank from it. Peter then sighed, "I guess now we can talk about what happened on the ship."

"Yeah."

"So did they um...what did they do to you? Pirates aren't known for hospitality."

"I was tied to a chair and kept in the Captain's Quarters." You could feel Peter's grip on your sides get tighter. "But...they feed me, and Hook kept his less-hospitable crew away from me."

"Hook said you saved my life, but he would let you explain how. Well, I'm listening."

"I asked him what he had planned, and said he wanted to trade my life for yours. I just...broke down after that. I couldn't let that happen. I didn't want him to hurt you. Everyone on this island depends on you." As you spoke, your eyes drifted off Peter and stared off during the memory. Peter hugged you closer with his arm that was around your back and with his free hand, he tipped your chin up so that your eyes met his again.

"What changed Hook's mind?" Peter spoke slowly.

"I told him I refused the deal. I said I was okay with him killing me if that meant you'd be safe."

".....why would do that?" Peter looked as if his heart stopped and whether or not it would begin again depended on your next words.

"Same reason you did."

Peter's entire face softened. His eyes lit up as he traced your jawline and brought your forehead against his. His lips almost reached yours before you felt a flat object hit your side.

"Found it Peter." Felix announced all too pleased with himself.

Peter shut his eyes and dropped his head back against the log as he sighed, "Felix you have impeccable timing. Have I ever hold you that?"

"Actually no, but thank you." He said then happily sauntered off in the direction off the beach.

"Idiot." Peter and you spoke in unison.

You lifted yourself up and saw that Felix had thrown the panpipe.

"You never played this last night."

"Well I had my attention on other things." He smirked looking you up and down. You shoved the panpipe into his hand to stop his wondering eyes.

"I miss hearing you play."

Peter grinned then moved his hand from your waist to the other side of the panpipe. You could see Peter was blowing into the instrument but there weren't any notes ringing out.

"I can't hear anything Peter. Why can't I hear you play?" Peter lowered the instrument and started laughing. "What?"

"It's my fault."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm the reason you can't hear the music anymore. You're not lost anymore."

"Why am I not lost anymore?"

"Because I love you."

You were about to kiss him but paused to ask, "Can you hear it?"

"I've had this panpipe for many years, and every time I felt downhearted about something playing it would somehow help me take my mind off of things at least for a few moments. Well I've never felt worse than I did when you were captive on that ship." He smiled at you then continued, "I wondered why there was no sound coming from it. I asked the other lost boys and they all said it was playing normal as ever." He interlaced his fingers with yours and looked in your eyes. "And now I know why."

"Because I love you." You said.

Peter smiled before quickly bringing his lips to yours. You quickly responded by wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling yourself onto his lap.

It really is strange, telling someone you love them, and hearing it back and both of you being completely genuine in your sentiments. Then again you saw proof it was true love. There shouldn't be an age requirement on true love. The connection is unavoidable. Feelings unavoidable. Love would be unavoidable too as long as both people kept fighting. Peter and you were clearly fighting.

Those were the thoughts that ran through your mind as Peter kissed you.

It's been a while since I've updated. (Almost two weeks) I'm sorry. There's been some things that happened that didn't really make me have the desire to get back to writing. If you're not a fan of 1D then I don't expect you to understand. Okay moving on. I'm also trying to not be sick right now, and concentrating on a screen can be a challenge. Anyway I'll try to not go so long between updates.

I'm bummed that there's no OUAT this week, but next episode looks intense. Zelena is back. I knew she wasn't quite done. I wish a certain other villain would come back as well.....some of that is what I need in my life thank you.
