"Hook found your family, and they're here in Neverland."
Pain is a feeling to be forgotten, at least to a certain degree. It's how a woman is able to have another child. We need pain to keep ourselves safe. It's how a person knows to be careful around fire. Pain is to be learned from. It's how someone avoids another heartbreak. Sometimes, pain is tolerated or simply gotten used to. That's how diabetics deal with insulin injections everyday, but fear doesn't work the same way as pain. Fear isn't forgotten, it's overcome. Fear may keep people safe, but it can also hold them back. All that's to be learned from fear is that we can't do something because we are our own roadblock, and lastly, fear is a feeling that you never get used to.
Fear is that feeling of your stomach dropping while speeding down a rollercoaster, or maybe not so much as that, as it's the anticipation of the drop. Just looking at the drop while standing in line is enough to turn your stomach into knots. Leaving you in a state of pale, sweaty panic. To quote one famous poet, "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there's vomit on his sweater already--mom's spaghetti." Mom. Oh right, that's the reason for your fear.
"Peter, how is it possible Hook found my family?"
He immediately noticed how his words had drained color from your tanned skin. He scooted closer and held both of your arms for support to prevent falling over from fainting. "The explanation is a lot to take in, but you're going to have to." You nodded your head weakly while looking down at your shaking hands. "I've told you stories of the Enchanted Forest," You nodded again, "your mother was born in the Enchanted Forest." Your eyebrows creased. "If this is overwhelming, brace yourself darling. As I've said, the Enchanted Forest was cursed by the Evil Queen, and all of the inhabitants were sent to your world, but they were contained within one town called Storybrooke. Your mother was able to escape the effects of the curse by being sent to your world by her parents through a portal. She was just a newborn child at the time."
"She was separated at birth from her mom and dad? Did she grow up in foster homes like me?"
"Yes, but she never was taken to Neverland. I couldn't interfere with her being the Savior that would eventually break the Queen's curse. I never paid attention to her because she needed to be in your land, I had no idea Emma " the Savior" was your mother."
"Did she break the curse?"
"Yes she did. She was taken to Storybrooke on her 31st birthday."
"We have the same birthday you know? My mother and me. One of the social workers told me that, she had been a friend of my mom. It's funny, my mom was taken to Storybrooke, and I was taken here. How ironic both our lives were never going to be the same after that day." You sighed, "How did she know to come to Storybrooke?"
This time it was Peter's turn to sigh. "She was brought there by a boy who believed in the fairytales he read in a book."
"Just some random boy?" You asked while pushing off the covers from your legs so you could sit on top of the blanket with your knees pulled up into your chest with your chin resting atop them.
"No...he was actually her son."
"Her-, but then he'd be-"
"Your brother, and yes he's here too."
It seemed like a good time to collapse on the bed, but Peter's firm hands kept you up right.
Peter finished off the rest of the story rapidly, with just one breath."Long story short Hook somehow travelled to Storybrooke, and he's brought your family with him. I wasn't sure if you'd want to see your mother yet, but you'd probably want to meet your brother, so he should be waiting with Hook down in camp right about now."
