The war for equal rights

There are many parties who fought for the movement of black power

To reach the goal of getting higher in the race power tower.

The black Panthers

Are always marching and never tardy

For the equality party.

The Congress of Racial Equality

Are trying to reach the CORE

Of this equality war.

The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee

Are setting up sit-ins and freedom rides to

See if the long waited equality fee

Will finally be seen.

The Black Muslims such as Malcolm X,

Are advocates for the rights of blacks

But are seen as people who spout violence

And racism by those who don't feel the same.

With all these parties on the same side

Why would African-Americans hide their side of the stories anymore?

It seems like the losers also get their stories told.
