10 - Outside with Professor Choi

Chan's POV

Professor Choi seemed really excited today. Even taking me to breakfast in a much farther place than the previous day. Did he get promoted?

"Professor?" I tried to set up the question and he diverted his attention towards me. So I continued by asking, "Did something good happen?"

We were in a fancier cafe than DKDK cafe. Where the prices were higher and the food seemed to  be more aesthetically pleasing. Maybe it was a bit of deja vu but I can't be sure.

"Of course something good happened!" He joyfully remarked. Grinning from on cheek to the other. "I have no lectures today!" He brought out before digging into the food on his plate.

The soft tunes playing in the background made me feel the need to look out the window. Where traffic congestion started to form for the morning rush obviously. The waiter placed the sandwich that I ordered infront of me and I thanked them before reverting back to facing the window.

Eating would be better in a situation like this. So I started munching down on my meal.

"How were the last 2 days?" He asked. Inconveniently too, maybe not now?

After I finished all the bread and wiped by mouth with a tissue, I started rambling on. About tagging along with Jeonghan-hyung and Shua-hyung for a task they did and then getting stuck there, while the yesterday I was brought to the 1st Archive. Meeting my brother who I forgot, even existed. It was and still is a lot to comprehend in such a short span of time.

Usually all this would at least take a month in between to happen from first entering such an place. But it happened. From day one.

"You met the sisters, right?"

I nodded.

He started to think and maybe even tinker. I couldn't puzzle it further though.

"I just realised that I don't know your age," he told me. "Can you tell me how old you are?" He asked pleasantly.

"I turned 17 last week."

Seungcheol's POV

Bringing him today wouldn't suffice, they're both not the same age. Maybe tomorrow I will.

"You've done the BUDDY system, the med bay, a task, and given details to your ability name," I listed. Was there anything else important needed to transition smoothly into HYBE? As far as I knew of the procedure, everything was done. Maybe something more to settle in?

"Is there anything you need?"

His response? Clothes.

I pay-waved the payment after we finished eating and dragged him by his sleeve to the closest mall. PLAY M MALL. It was one of the best malls with it's quality stalls and boutiques from the priciest to the most simplest of things.

We entered one of my personal favourite boutiques here, Fever Season. It's like any other store but it's main selling point is accessories. 

Chan immediately went to the other side of the lot. It was a graphic mint t-shirt with the words, 'DINO POWER' on it. He held it up and looked towards me. His face seemed to message me, 'I like this okay. Can I buy it?'

He also decided to try on a denim jacket. He looked at the sleeves especially and found them covering his fingers. His face brightened up and he smiled with something like the radiance of the sun. Reminds me of another time I was burnt this badly by a smile.

After entering and exiting a few more boutiques around the same floor. Chan finally felt done with his shopping which mostly consisted of hoodies, sweaters, and jeans. I'm guessing it's to do with Scribe's Text as well. He seems a bit old time-y fashioned and he might've not realised it yet either.

"Can we get Ice Cream?" His face seemed to be more bubblier and brighter by the second. The amount of cuteness made it impossible to refuse so I just told him we could.

The shop was just down a floor but Chan seemed to stop at the sight of two people. Bae Joohyun of bSK was chatting with a likely teenage girl.

"Y-yeri?"

HEAD BACK TO HYBE CHOI SEUNGCHEOL ! HEAD BACK TO HYBE ! BUDDY alerted.

"Who's Yeri?"

Chan looked down at his feet. While revealing me more important information.

"Yeri is Irene's adopted sister... They both have abilities. Yeri's makes doors that are portals to other places and Irene can control anyone she has recently touched," he explained as calmly as possible.

HEAD BACK TO HYBE CHOI SEUNGCHEOL ! HEAD BACK TO HYBE !

Chan likely needs to stay clear from their sight. I'll probably just use my ability for the ice cream.

"Want to head back?"

Chan's sleeved hand gripped my bare hand tightly and he nodded while still looking at the ground.

"I'll treat you ice cream instead of teleporting to your room with nobody watching us, alright?" I worded for the paradoxical ability to work it's thing and we disappeared easily. Although I would definitely get the ice cream from the faculty room for him if he really did want it.

"Just take a rest and make your room yours," I told him before leaving his room.

GOLLY GOLLY! Uhhhh this took a bit longer for me to write. I'm going through a bit of a crisis right now. Yesterday it was LazadaxSeventeen ads every time I scrolled down from all the SEA variants of Lazada TwT. And today this one vid of ao3 is superior showed up and I'm in a slight crisis on opinions and stuff. Looks cool and stuff (it was made for fanfics defo) but my opinions are mixed. This might be one of my last full blown proper fanfics before I try other things. (I'm very surprised I'm still sticking with the POV format after 3 different fanfics from different fandoms).

Anyways This is getting long.
