It's the ocean. 33,600 is the approximate number of fish species in the world that we have discovered. 1, 000 species of Sharks. 200 species of Jellyfish. 51 species of Dolphins. 40 different species of Whales. But, just because humans haven't explored that 80% of the ocean, doesn't mean people on Earth haven't. Now, of course, these people can't exactly be human. They can do things which humans can only dream of. They have tails that help them swim at extremly fast speeds. They can hold their breaths for an incredibly long amount of time, some even being able to breath under the water. Others can control the water or the animals that live in it. They are the stuff of fairytales and fables. They are magic itself. But what else would you expect from mermaids?
