DENISE

After history was gym, another class I loved. I'm the best gymnast this school has ever had. But now my spot was being threatened by some Lyanna girl.
Oh well, I shall have to deal with her. I flick off a piece of lint off my legging and push open the gym doors.

We were now three in the gymnastics team.  April Whyte and Lyanna Black and me.

"Aimee" I called "who's this Lyanna person?" I backtracked into the hall way to talk to her.

Aimee is my best friend. I've known her since the womb, our fathers are business partners and best friends so our friendship strengthens the bond.

She turned sharply,  her brown hair flying with her and motioned with her chin.
"That's her, over there. With the leather jacket and the brown flower tatt". She paused, "wonder how people kill themselves slowly because of tattoos. It's not that pretty too."

I smile at her before I look behind her.

Gasp, that girl! No wonder she poured the  water. She must have personal issues with me.

"Bye, Dee. I have chemistry now" She hugged me and left, while I walked into the Gym again.

APRIL

I tied my red curls in a bun, and smoothed out my leotard. Some transfer named  Lyanna was joining us today, and I was kinda excited. Okay,I was very excited.  I no longer have to put up with Denise, who just walked in, sporting a sky blue leotard and ballet socks, and a large blue stain on her elbow.

"Your elbow is blue" I said "you must've leaned on something "

"That's not right, it can't be blue" She said, aghast "what shade of blue?"

I stared at it.

"Baby blue" came a voice "not quite invisible to the naked eye"

The bearer of the voice strolled to the mat and touched Denise's elbow. She was in a black long sleeved leotard and her brown and black hair was up in a bun. Denise narrowed her eyes into slits at her but Lyanna wasn't looking. If looks could kill.

"Lyanna Black, take to the crossbar " shouted Coach Redlynch, confirming my guesstimation." Let's see what you've got "

Lyanna Black, and Denise doesn't seem too happy about it.
"Yes ma'am."She threw us a smile and ran towards the crossbar, leaving the ground in a twisting cartwheel. Coach Redlynch smiled, no one ever calls her ma'am and she liked that sort of respect.

She landed perfectly,  her legs placed in front of each other. My jaw unhinged, she's definitely been training from birth.

Coach muttered something about Olympic material and scribbled something on her clipboard.

Lyanna was a blur as she spun round and round, her legs in place every time before she stopped, pulled a vertical split and made a perfect dismount. Coach Redlynch nodded, wrote something on her clipboard again and asked Denise to lead the stretches.

Denise walked over to Lyanna.

"You!" She began 'how dare you spill water in front of my locker?"

"I've been here for two weeks, princess, I have no issues with you. " Lyanna replied, her face deadpan.

" I hit my elbow" Denise complained " there was some water on the ground."

"Does it hurt?" I ask, edging closer to both of them.
