Rodney Copperbottom X Reader (The Honeymoon)

Chapter 15

"(Y/N), what were you doing?" Rodney asked with major worry. "Didn't I tell you to stay home?"

"Rodney, I'm sorry! I was just as worried about you and I was getting rather cabin fevered! Besides, what were you saving me from anyway? I was about to steam in some aromatherapy and I think I was about to get an indoor suntan too." You sighed.

Rodney knew where you were going and it was definitely not what you thought." (Y/N), that was not aromatherapy and that was no tanning machine!" Rodney was nearly panicking about what almost happened. 

"Oh yeah, then what was it?" 

Fender joined in. "Drillzer is trying to open a museum on humans and you're part of his collection!" 

From there, Rodney was starting to finish. "The bottle was full of poison that could have knocked you out until you were dead and that dome machine was an invention of his that would  dissolve human corpses quicker so he can get to the bones and from there, he'll use your skeleton to store in a human history museum!"

After hearing about the terrifying mission Drillzer was up to, you literally screamed but then Rodney put a hand over your mouth.

"What do we do with her now?" Fender asked.

"There's only one option now, and that is to make sure she is not out of my sight." Rodney replied still sounded frightened over what had almost happened to you. You liked to hear that Rodney was going to be protecting you but you did every now and then wish to show your independence. 

You and Rodney held each for a while until Cappy came running in. "Drillzer is in the building!" She said. You all knew it was that time to fight back and hopefully defeat him. 

The three of you went running out to find any sign of him. "Is he still trying to find me?" You asked. "I have no idea but we all know he's---" Cappy stopped when you all saw what looked like a bomb. 

"Well, well, well! I knew you'd get here and you've managed to find the trap!" Drillzer said popping out! "You!" Rodney retorted back. "I should've known there was an easy way to get the girls bones and to get you the blue boy out of my way! GWA HA HA HA!!!" Drillzer continued with an evil smirk. 

He walked away and you all wondered if this meant bombing the entire industry community. You had to assume so. There had to be a way to get rid of the bomb. "I've got to make a warning!" Cappy told the two of you before running to make an announcement to all of Bigweld Industries.

"Attention all employees and members! A bomb has been detected! Please evacuate now!" You and Rodney could all hear screaming and the robots were all looking for emergency exists.  As the two of you tried to weave through the crowd, you noticed Drillzer's guards come and try to separate you two. 

You screamed and tried to get away but by now, you couldn't breathe. Rodney whistled for his Wonderbot making him come flying and attacked the guards. The two of you kept running while you noticed some of the Rusties gag staying in to fight the guards. 

Cappy and Bigweld were around to help others find exists. 

You and Rodney somehow started climbing the building getting higher and higher. It was scary to look down but having him with you made you feel safer. 

The bomb was down to 2 minutes and you were starting to panic.

"How do we get rid of the bomb?" You shouted. "We'll have to throw it out of Bigweld Industries." He replied. 

By now a bunch of the other robots looked up and noticed you and Rodney. They were waiting for something heroic to happen. 

"Rodney, I know you can't stand me getting hurt, but I'm willing to say I do need some chance to be independent sometimes!" You tried to explain as loud as you could. 

He turned and looked you. "I'm sorry if I've been too protective of you but I just don't want to lose you!" 

"It's actually cute that you're trying to protect me. It's not like how parents can get overprotective preventing you from doing so much!" 

Drillzer popped out of nowhere wearing something bomb proof protection while grabbing a hold of you. "Got you! I'll make sure you're nothing but bones in no time!" He said with an evil laugh. "RODNEY!!" You yelled.

Only a few seconds were left now. Rodney threw the bomb out of Bigweld Industries and landed in a sewer hole somewhere out in the city. A loud cheer came on just before you saw a glow of flames coming from a far distance. 

Drillzer began to lose his cool before letting go of you. "NO!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!" This wasn't going to stop him from trying to hurt you anyway.

You had an idea that you would kick Drillzer off the next time you saw him. "Rodney, why don't I take care of Drillzer?"

"No, (Y/N)! I don't want...." He started to reply before you interrupted. 

"Trust me! I know where my strength is." Wonderbot took you flying while Rodney went to help the others. 

Without further ado, Drillzer saw you and began to shoot nuts and bolts. You and Wonderbot flew high enough until you could finally swoop back down kicking him off. You watched as he fell and landed in an old pile of scrap.

"Oh curses!" Drillzer whispered feeling weak. 

By then, Wonderbot could not hold your weight any longer. He accidentally dropped you causing what was feeling like the biggest fall of your entire life. You tried grabbing a hold of something but your hands slipped. 

Rodney saw you and was able to catch you. You heard a crowd cheer. Rodney had saved the city once again!

Bigweld came out to congratulate. "How lucky are you two to have each other!" He said. Cappy and the rusties came running up to. "Way to go, buddy!" Fender said with excitement. 

"Now that was sure to have made epic history!" You smirked. "As you may not of noticed, I helped!"
