Chapter 18: The Road Trip part 2

I was dreaming of waterfalls...

My eyes flung open.
"Human has to pee!" I sat tapping my foot on the car floor. I shouldn't have drank that two liter of 7up earlier...
"Can it wait 30 miles?" Emmett asked looking at me.
"No." I slid over to the door. He sighed and pulled over.
"How far does your hearing range?" I asked jumping out.
"About 1000 feet? Why?" Jasper asked.
"Reasons, be back soon!"
"Squirt! Stay where we can hear your heart beat."
"K!" I took off running into the woods. I think I had finally reached 1000 ft.

I turned around to start walking when I felt a presence behind me. I whipped around getting into a defensive position. There stood a guy, The only features I could see were his ruby red eyes and white smile.
"What's a little girl like you doing out so late?" He had and American accent. He stepped into the moon light and I saw his features better. He had mixed skin, bright red eyes, and a sly smirk. He had to be close to my age, maybe 14 or 15.
"What's a creepy guy doing watching a girl use the restroom?" I countered a questioned.
"Oh deerie, I just now showed up." he smiled and took a step closer. I took a step back.
'Your pretty."
"Shucks, but i'm going to be leaving. So um bye!" I turned and was about to start running. He grabbed my wrist and I could feel his breath on my neck.
"How old are you? You look to young to change..."
"I am, good bye." I pulled my hand away and started to run
"JASPER!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. The vampire was running right next to me.
'Sweetie can't you go any faster? I'm merely jogging." He smirked. I ran to the right, I pushed my pace faster. Suddenly I was swooped up. I started to scream. I thrashed around, but he had me in a cobra grip.
"EMMETT!!!!!" I yelled again and hoped my brothers would find me. In a swift second I was sent flying out of the strangers arms and on to the ground. I was picked up, but by Jasper. I sighed with relief and clung on to my brother as he ran threw the woods.
"Where's Emmett?" I asked.
"Taking care of that guy."
"Oh." Lights came in sight and I saw the car. Jazz ran up to it putting me in. He slammed the door shut and got into the passenger seat.
I started to get anxious as the seconds passed and Emmett wasn't back.

After what seemed like a century, he finally came back.
"Squirt are you okay?" He started up the car and took off.
"I'm fine." He started to murmur things to Jasper, I couldn't hear.
"Squirt, don't ever go that far again. You could have been killed."
"I know, I didn't realize how far I went. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, just don't do it again, and hope Alice didn't see that..." Jazz said and we left it at that. We sat in Meier silence till we got there.
