Chapter 9: Party time

"Alice Ow!"
"Then stop moving!"
"But I don't want makeup." I whined like a little kid.
"Well your gonna wear it any ways."
"UGH!" My arms threw up in the air and failed.
"Oh stop it!" I sat there pouting as Alice put makeup on me. I decided to just let her do it. There's no way of getting out of it...
"Hey Alice can I-"
"No."
"Why can't I wear my ninja turtle mask?"
"Because this is classy themed...!" She finished my makeup up. "Now, try not to rub your eyes."
"Okay okay..." The doorbell rang.
"There's some of your friends! Now put on your dress and shoes." She darted out of the room, then I took off my blue fuzzy robe and slipped on my black dress and my black ankle converse. I walked downstairs and the place was already packed. I went to go look for my friends and the first place I looked was the food table. Surprise, surprise that's where they were. They all looked amazing. Tori was wearing a blue long-sleeved kinda lacy dress, it was a beautiful pattern. Kara was wearing a mint green spaghetti strapped dress, with little flowers on them. Jasmin was wearing a black and white dress, the top was striped black and white and the bottom (Skirt part) was black. Rhiann wore a purple frilly dress that hugged her at her waist, it fit her personality really well. Hailee was wearing a blood red dress. It looked really good on her. Mali was wearing a pink retro dress that swung around her neck. I noticed something we all ahd in common.... We all were wearing converse sneakers.
"You guys look great! And I see we all had the idea." I pointed to our shoes.
"Apparently..." Mali chuckled. My siblings all departed from the kitchen to the dance floor. They were all laughing as they danced. I turned to my friends who were eating. Tori handed me a plate with food
"This is why I love you guys!" I chuckled."HEY WE SHOULD REQUEST THE SONG FABULOUS!"
"Eh." Mali only shrugged.
"Whats that?" Jazz cocked her head to the side.
"It's Pewdiepie's song...."
"OKAY I'M IN!" Jasmin is a total bro like me.
"Sure..." Tori kept eating... Hailee didn't even answer because she was stuffing her mouth with food.
'No, not Pewdiepie! That guy is so annoying!" We all looked at her in shock. Kara.... is a barrel.
"BARREL!!!" Me, Jasmin, Mali, Tori, Rhiann, and Hailee screamed a bit to loud. The music stopped and everyone looked at us. I felt my face get hot and I looked at my friends and they were blushing....
"Uh..Hi." I gave a sheepish smile and waved. The music went back on and everyone started to dance again, occasionally looking at us. Then we all burst out laughing.
"We are... so stupid..." I managed to get out. "Okay lets go do requests." I said as we finally calmed down after three attempts. We all walked over to the DJ. He was a young male, he had caramel skin with black hair that went over his left eye. He was kinda cute.
"What can I do for you girls?" He raised a eyebrow.
"Can we request songs?" Hailee question him.
"Go ahead."
"I request: She looks so perfect by 5 seconds of summer." Kara flashed a smile.
"I request Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor." Mali sure loves that song.
"Um... Dirt Road Anthem!' Country music yay! Kara high fived Tori for the idea.
"Bring me to life by Evanescence." Rhiann chirped.
"Lollipop by Lil Wayne." Hailee had a smug look on her face.
"Hailee, I would say yes.... But my family is here..."
"Oh... Then... um... Smack that by Akon..?" I shurgged.
"That works..."
"Shell shocked by Wiz Kalifa and Juicy J and that other guy.. From the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Jasmin has had a addition to that song ever since it came out... I don't blame her it's a really good song.
"Fabulous by Ronnie featuring Pewdiepie." Kara groaned. :Hey it's my birthday!" She shrugged
"So, I'm your friend and your putting me threw this torture...."
"I love you Kara." I said in a baby voice, also pitching it high.
"I love you too..." She sighed and laughed.
"Wait your birthday girl?" The DJ asked arching a eyebrow.
"Yep..." I smiled.
"How old?"
"I'm fourteen." He smiled.
"I'm fifteen."
"So is Tori, Mali, and Kara." They all smiled and his eyes darted to them and back to me.
"That's cool. Mind if I borrow your friend for a minute?" He outstretched a hand towards me. They all looked at me and retreated.
"I'll take that as a yes..." He chuckled as I took his hand. "So birthday girl, what's your name?"
"Sheilah."
"Sheilah." He breathed. "That's a very pretty name." He flashed a smile and I blushed.
"What's your name?" I question as he let go of my hand.
"Nicolas... But people call me Nick."
"Hm.. Nick.. That's pretty too." I giggled like a little school girl.
"We should hang out sometime."
"Okay."
"Can I have your number?" I took the pen and paper he grabbed and held out towards me. I scribbled down my number and handed it back. "I'll call you sometime. But I better get back to work. I'll make sure to play you and your friends songs."
"Thank you! Keep up the good work...!" I walked off stage and walked over to my friends and examined my nails.
"So how did it go?" Kara squealed bunching her hands into fists dringing them to her chest.
"He got digits." I exhaled on my nails and brushed them against my stomach trying to look cool. Everyone squealed but Jasmin didn't. She grabbed my shoulders and spun me to face her, with her hands still on my shoulders.
"Sheilah, please tell me you at least played hard to get!"
"Uh I did."
"Lies!"
"Uh..."I scratched the back of my neck nervously.
"Oh cut her some slack Jazz!" Tori put a hand on her shoulder and Jazz took her hands of mine. Shell Shocked came on and Jazz and I exchanged happy glances,
"Lets go dance!" We said at the same time. We all scurried to the dance floor dancing weirdly as Jasmin and I rapped.

The rest of the songs continued to play and we danced nonstop. Finally Fabulous came on.
"Last song of the night!" Nick looked at me and winked. A blush crept onto my cheeks. I have a feeling him and I are going to be good friends....
