"You're pathetic!" My father grabbed me by hair and threw me outside; I went stumbling down the porch steps. I am covered in bruises from head to toe and to top it off, chunks of my hair missing. I look up at my father with pleading eyes.
"Father, I-"
He slammed the hardwood door in my face. Through the window I can see my older sister, Cair, staring at me with concern in her brown eyes. I lifted myself up and ran as fast as my legs could take me into the musky wood.
As my legs carried me across the rocky terrain, I lost traction and stumbled onto the cold, mossy ground. After a couple stumbles and a head scratch I learned something.
I completely lost my direction...
I picked myself up and I kept walking till I found a brook. I sat on the shimmering bank looking at the fish in the crystal clear water. The sun shone for once and I did not pass the opportunity to absorb some vitamin D. I laid back on the pebbles with my arms behind my head.
The peacefulness ended as I abruptly heard a nosie, a snapping sound. My tired eyes hurriedly opened and within mer seconds I found myself on my feet. A baby deer came stumbling threw the forest and into the bank.
"Aw..." I said in a hushed whisper. It caught a glance at me and hurried on its way.
I have to make something to surive.
I grabed a stick that could bend and roots, I tied them both together and created a bow. I took sticks and pointy rocks and connected those. Satestifed I sat back down at the brook and stared into the water. I eventually gave in and took a couple of steps into the water. The water was cool and crisp again my skin. I dove in, my skin burned. I washed myself and did my best to clean the cuts that had gotten from falling. I got out and layed on the pebble filled bay, the sun remained out of the clouds.
"Well Nature, you're stuck with me now." I sighed as I laid back and one again continued to relax. Not a stress, worry, or fear in mind. I declare that on this day, April 13, 2014, I, Sheilah, am finally at peace.
