Remember when I paid you attention
Where did it all go?
After everything went wrong
When life spiraled out of control
Mistakes happened more often
Some not even ours
It all shot back at us
Each and every problematic bullet
Remember the times we had?
The smiles we exchanged
And the laughter we shook from
Only to be overtaken with pain
Where had it all gone?
The love we had shared
Now only lost in the void of emptiness between us
Love forgotten in the growing dark
Was it my fault?
Was it your fault?
Had it undone with time?
I'm sorry either way
