Crimson's POV:

We stood outside of the school in the dead of night. We'd only been gone a couple of days, but everything felt different. The whole school just felt off.

"We should split up that way there's no chance we both get caught."

"Agreed, just be careful, okay?"

"I will, I promise."

We parted ways and went off in opposite directions. I crept around the outside of the school making sure to avoid the windows. I stopped in front of the window in Charles' office.

I watched him lock the door and then I quickly ducked down as he turned around. I listened carefully and got back up when I heard him sit down at his desk. He opened up a drawer and pulled a false bottom out of it, revealing a secret compartment. He pulled out a huge list and names, many of which had been crossed out; he also removed a large bottle of hard liquor from the drawer.

He took a huge swig of liquor straight from the bottle and looked through the list of names. He stopped on a name and I started to read it. "Sc-". Someone knocked loudly on the door and Charles quickly threw the papers into the drawer. He placed the liquor in as well and then closed the drawer.

"Coming!"

He got up and straightened out of his clothes before opening up the door. On the other side of the door was Erik. Erik in loose and dirty pajamas. Erik with messy hair and long patchy stubble. Erik with red puffy eyes and shakey bruised hands. Erik completely broken.

Erik practically falls into Charles silently sobbing. Charles seems completely unaffected and emotionless. The love of his life is crumbling in front of him and he's unbothered and unfazed by this?

"He took her. He took my friend. What- what if she's dead. What if she died and he took her body with him? He stole her! He stole my best friend."

"Erik, I'm sure they're both fine."

"No, he-"

"Erik just go on up to bed, I'll be there soon enough."

I can't watch it any longer. I wanted to say something, do something, give Erik some sign, some way to tell him that I'm okay. And a warning about Charles, but there's just no way. Charles would find out immediately and we can't risk that, I can't put Erik in danger like that.

Hank's POV:

A Few Minutes Later

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I'm not betraying my wife.

I might be betraying my wife.

I'm just making a slight detour for both of our benefits.

I find our bedroom door and it catches me by surprise. Across the door is caution tape and a sign has been taped onto it.

"DO NOT ENTER: This room is currently being investigated. Entrants will be expelled."

Investigated? They better not have taken from my stash. I open up the door and duck around the caution tape. The certainly looks investigated. Everything is out of place and in a complete state of disarray, the sight makes both my heart and my brain hurt.
