Chapter 1: Where It All Began

Hello, my name is Ahmed Maged Nageeb but I choose to reffered to as "Ryan". Born out of country and brought over to the United States as a young boy, I started school with a very good understanding of the english language and can speak it very well. Born and raised in the middle east, I had a higher understanding of many things and on a higher level class program in elementary school. This was before the incident of 9/11. Which dangled my thought process because many friends that I had were very happy to talk to me and keep in touch and hang out and play games and such. But after that incident I was crushed to see my friends abruptly disapear and dwell down in numbers.

I had one friend that never gave up on me, Michelle is her name. Michelle knew me since I first came to the states, she was my first official 'best friend' that I could call that without feeling like im alone on the feelings of trust and such. We grew up together through the years and through all the hatred and destructive paths we took. through elementary with the 9/11 incident, through the distance of different 'clicks' or groups of friends that did not colaborate in middle school, and the greater distance when she moved away.

To give you a small backround story of my family; Parents still married, Father's name is "Maged" and Mother's name is "Sarah", with an older sister named "Mariam" refered to herself as "Mary". Our family grew as our stay grew longer in the states and soon I had a younger brother named "Nader" refered to as "Joeseph"and a younger sister named "Amany" but she chose to be reffered to as "Mandy". We all changed our names, not because of anything except it is easier to become less obvious and more more to blend in. My parents still call us by our real names when it is 'just us' as a family but when we are out, we use our nicknames.

My life was easy going through my elementary school years excluding the fight for myself to keep friends and not get into fights. Then Middle school was a breeze aswell becasue I had a lust for more knowledge to fill the brain I found eager to learn more about life.Through middle school I had a 'can do, will do' attitude, which did get me in some trouble sometimes. I found my friends, my real friends at that time. Found a group of friends in which I became accustomed to and did everything with. 'we were good kids back then'.

As we grew and graduated middle school, we found our schools of choice were not the same, some chose further schools and some chose sport oriented, art oriented, academically oriented schools and of coarse there were some which chose the 'edumication'. I spelled it wrong for a reason. Those that chose that uneducated road were sentenced out of my life emedietly and remain to be aquaintences alone and nothing further.

As High School began, I found many different subjects and clubs and just enless things to jump into. I tried everything that did not involve me working 24/7 on my 4.5 GPA. I thought it didnt matter much for the beginning of my freshman year. I just focused on trying things and seeing what holds my attention, and only a few things held my attention. Those were History, Math, Choir, Physical Edication, and HIM!
