cw // drinking

We were out on a dinner meeting with my closest employees. The reason was the celebration of our newcomer, Jeongin. It was a ritual at our company because my Dad never appreciated anyone's work as long as it wasn't beneficial to the company.

At first I was going to drop it. I couldn't bear being in the same room with him and not treating him the way I used to. But then again, he had changed and it wouldn't be fair to him either.

Especially when I was the one at fault. I let go of Jeongin after all.

And I tried moving on but no one in the world compared to him.

So here we were. Sitting in front of each other at a company dinner. Changbin wasn't available either. If I remembered right, he had met up with his ex boyfriend from overseas. Though, I still didn't know who he was.

Guess we were both going through the pain of seeing the ones we let go.

Nothing special happened, everyone ate and drank. At some point my employees were all gone. So we were left alone.

"Maybe I should get going too," I said, taking out my phone to call a taxi when suddenly a hand wrapped around my wrist. I looked up to meet Jeongin's eyes. My heart was racing. Even in the dim light of the bar he looked ethereal. Everything about him at all times was beautiful.

"Don't-" he hiccuped, "Don't leave me just yet."
