James kicked his feet swinging from the swing he was 13 and Adam was 11.
Adam ran his hand through the water they hung out at a forest near Adams house, James would hang out with him time to time after school both went to different schools though we're introduced by their mom's who knew each other.
Adam took out his hand seeing his horns slightly hide behind his white hair or what seemed like it. He looked over to James who was a shape shifter but kept his form in human half the time, James had been looking at him for a bit looking at whatever the other planned on doing.
"Jameson" the devil called him it was a silly nickname he gave him though he didn't mind " when can you show me your form?" The blonde gave him a confused stare until he understood what he meant.
"Are you still on about that" getting off from the swing and walked to the other.
"Yes a bets a bet and you still haven't done it and it's only this one time" in reality shape shifters weren't liked they were deemed scummy people and those who were ones stuck with human appearances "but promise not to tell anyone about this"
Adam nodded he didn't care if his friend was a scum he never asked his mom properly why shape shifters weren't liked.
In reality it was a month ago he found out James was a shape shifter he had accidentally let it slip and Adam thought it was cool james on the other hand had panicked at this making Adam swear he won't tell anyone.
But back to now Adam saw James shift he had looked different his hair or what seemed like was noticable, their were two eyes looking at him one red one blue, and no mouth though he heard james is voice, " i can hear you but you don't have a mouth" astonished his friends change.
"Because this im in your mind" he answered the very curious demon.
"How i mean shape shifters can't do that " he was right though one of his parents his father was able to speak through minds he wasn't a shapeshifter like James.
"Well my father has telepathy and can make things from his mind but i can't do that" he told the other who already knew of that information.
"That's awesome but i have a feeling you should shift back" the brunette spoke
"Your right" he did what his friend recommended for safety reasons.

Couple Months later
Adam swung from the swing they were at a playground and was seeing James have a time of his life.
He would stare at the other when he was bored he would take in his features.
And notice if anything changed but that wasn't important the shifter had finished messing around the playground and walked over to the other who wasn't doing much "we should go to the gas station".
"Oh ya sure" Adam. Got up from his seat
"Would you be kind to teleport us their" James asked politely.
"Of course milady" Adam grabbed James shoulder it took a while for Adam to figure out how to teleport he still messes up the location he's supposed to get to but got better at it.
James was able to also hear thoughts something his dad can also do but not fully, although James tuned out other's thoughts very often as it could be considered a invasion of privacy and also hearing them 24/7 was agitating. They both got to their destination only a few feet away so they just walked to the little gas station it was open Wich wasn't to much of a surprise it was late at night and Adams parents let him out late at night unlike James parents.
They were 15 so it did make sense Adams mom had given him a allowance so he would save up for these hangouts or sleepovers.
Both boys looked around they walked to the chips taking two one lemon and ruffles chips and taking some candy they stopped at the fountains to get some drinks.
Both took medium cups as their was soda at the demons home.
They payed and teleported to Adams house were they spent the rest of the night.

Adam was now 17 and James was 19 they were hanging out at the mall both walking through stores and along with buying stuff that was at least a lower price.
James had driven them their so it was nice. Adam wanted some pretzels so that's where they headed it was a small stand outside of shop.
" I don't understand what was the point of that assignment honestly" Adam complained to the dark blonde (i think he's dark blonde correct me if I'm wrong)
" What ya mean" James asked
"Well we were supposed to explain what the whole point of what we learned and stuff and then he gave us a work sheet we needed to answer on the characters" the darked hair male exclaimed
"Oh well we're here now you want to forget about your troubles and get some pretzels" James told him
Adam nodded food always made someone feel better especially after a long day.
After ordering the pretzels and getting them the walked over to the food court that was full and well had people eating from the other restaurants.

Adam was at James house Adam was always in full form time to time actually using his human form unlike James who was at the moment in his actual form.
He was short but lanky with his hand having gloves his skin was like porcelain it had small cracks like his mouth.
He would feel comfortable whenever it was Adam so he could breathe on his actual form. He would tell the other not to worry about the cracks at it was something that happened whenever he shifted to that form.
He had small wings as Wich is why he was in his form.
Well also because he couldn't handle being in the other form form time to time.

This is unfinished because i don't now what else to do with this i had been working on different concepts until a week ago.
And am now brain dead to think about anything else it was just an au idea that came to me were humans, wolf's, anything lived i harmony but some creatures aren't seen in a good light because of actions and stuff.
So sorry if this makes no sense I'll make headcanons do the au so you understand how it works and how James and Adam see the world around them because of this.
All my motivation in one whole page and dedication to a waste maybe I'll come around in a month or So idk.
