Epilogue

The six of us graduated from NYU yesterday, and our families came in the day before the graduation ceremony, and during the ceremony Nanma and Holly had Rylan for us since neither Ryker nor I could have him with us. We all earned bachelor degrees - Thomas in business, Melody in science in business, Kyler and I in science in psychology, and Ryker and Wyatt in criminal justice. Thankfully, all of us have jobs starting in a week or two - Thomas and Melody are staying her in NYU, Kyler and Wyatt are moving to Aspen, Colorado, and Ryker and I are moving back home to live with Nanma until our apartment is ready which should be in a week. We're going to miss being able to see our friends every day, but this gives us reasons to visit New York City and Aspen regularly.

While away at university, I have been writing with mama, and the first year and a half was difficult, but we are slowly building a better son/mother relationship. Nanma will always be more of my mama than being my granma. Yes, mama knows about Ryker and Rylan, and maybe one day we will visit her together. Mama has come to fully accept my sexuality, which is part of the reason why I think we are developing a better relationship.

Ryker and I have decided that we are going to start the process of either fostering to adopt or just adopting again in about six months. Ryker and I want a large family of like a total of five or six children, but only time will tell.
