JENNETTE landed on her baby butt after colliding into a person's leg, Jennette looked up to the person who she collided into when she felt her whole world stop.

'Y-You! What are you doing here!' Jennette cried into her mind all the while staring at the man before her, Jennette's whole world is spinning and she felt as if she would faint any minute now.

Which, of course, wouldn't happen because Jennette thinks that she's just being a drama queen.

"How delightful, to be able to finally meet the offspring of that minx"

'W-Well! I am your offspring too you stupid dummy!' Jennette huffed in her head.

Jennette stood up on her wobbly legs and dusted off her dress, she then, looked back up at the man she bumped into, which is, the emperor himself, her father.

"Killian" the emperor called, and not long enough, a handsome looking guy stepped beside the emperor and bowed his head.

"Your Majesty?" Killian, the knight, asked.

The emperor motioned his hand towards Jennette, and walked away, Jennette tilted her head in confusion before looking at the knight before her.

"I'm so sorry, Princess, but rest assured that I will send one of my knights to tell the maids in your palace that you're with his Majesty" Killian smiled and gently and lifted her off of the ground and walked towards the direction of the emperor's carriage.

'No no no no! Let me go back please ಥ‿ಥ'

'Aly! Olenna! Help me, please!' Jennette cried desperately in her mind, though her face might be smiling at the knight carrying her, Jennette actually felt like crying and drowning herself in the river.

'So much for avoiding the emperor, Jettie! Now you're going to be riding on a carriage and going to the palace with him!'

The knight, Killian, smiled at her brightly as he placed Jennette down on the seat across her father's.

"M-Mister Knight!"

Killian turned around and looked at the Princess questioningly, "Yes, Your Highness?"

Jennette glanced at her father who's staring at her intently, "U-Uhm... Can't you stay?"

"Killian is not allowed in here." A single statement from the emperor has Jennette mourning for her life, Killian gave the Princess some head pats before closing the carriage doors.

JENNETTE woke up to someone lifting her up, she blinked her sleepy gem eyes and straightened up.

"You weigh like a feather." Aniel, the Emperor, stated in a flat voice.

Jennette's little body jolted at hearing her father's voice up close,

"Do they not feed you back in your palace?"

'Well, if you're not stingy with the budget maybe they will.'

"I give them enough budget to feed an entire generation," Aniel snorted, Jennette clasped her mouth with her hands when she realized that she just said her thought out loud.

"Hehe, sorry Daddy" was what she replied, Jennette saw Killian stiffen at the word mentioned while the Emperor just continued walking the steps towards his palace.

"Princess, welcome to the main palace of the Lithian Empire."

Jennette wiggled her body to signal her dad that she wants to be put down, as her little feet touched the ground, Jennette allowed herself to be awestruck at the scene in front of her.

Her gem eyes glowing as she tries to register the view, "Y-Your Majesty lives here?" she absentmindedly says.

"Your Majesty? Is that how you address your father?" Aniel asked, his brow arching.

Jennette paid him no mind as she was still awestruck by the gigantic palace standing before her.

'Surely the people walking these steps will grow tired once they reach the top, look at all these stairs, the main palace in Obelia sure is big, but this is humongous!'

'It was really pretty in the novel too, but seeing it up close, it looks so majestic!'

"Is the Palace to your liking, Princess?" Killian asked, Jennette vigorously nodded her head.

"It's soooooo big and pretty! And it's glowing!" Jennette exclaimed while making hand gestures, the Emperor clicked his tongue and started walking ahead of them.

"Move your legs, brat"

Jennette rolled her eyes at the Emperor and tugged Killian's pants, "Mister Knight, can you carry me across these stairs please? Jettie might faint by the time I reach the palace doors"

Killian chuckled at the Princess' statement and picked her up, "You need not ask, Princess"

JENNETTE swung her legs back and forth as she wait for her father to take his seat across her,

'Now that my plans are all ruined, what should I do to ensure my survival? Sweet talk my way to father's good graces? Or just be myself?'

Jennette stopped thinking when various pastries and snacks were placed on the table in front of her,
Jennette smiled sweetly at the maids and thanked them for their work.

Jennette's mouth watered as she saw the food in front of her that she just can't help but to place a single creampuff in her mouth, Jennette sighed dreamily and popped another pastry, this time a macaron, inside her mouth.

"Eating without my permission now, brat? You need etiquette lessons." The emperor voiced as he sat crossed-legs across Jennette.

Jennette smiled cheekily at the emperor and blinked her jeweled eyes, "I didn't think Daddy will show up so I helped myself to some food!"

Aniel huffed and took a sip from his tea, "Starting today, you will be living in this palace together with me, I already sent a messenger to your previous palace informing them of the situation."

Jennette audibly gulped and smiled tightly, "A-Ah do we have to live together, Daddy?"

"Forgive me for interrupting, but, does Princess wish to stay at the Orchid Palace?" Killian asked kindly,

Jennette was about to reply when she got interrupted by her father, "Why? Do you not wish to live with me, brat?"

Aniel sent her a look that promised severe consequences if she'll agree.

Jennette shook her head fast, jumped off of her seat, and ran towards her father to hug his leg.

"O-Of course not, Daddy! I would love to live with you!"

'LIES! PURE LIES!' her mind contradicts.

The Emperor just hummed and continued on with his tea.
