Aniel turned away from the large windows and looked at the people who dared to intrude in his space, he was about to order them to leave when a lady that resembles him and the wench appeared. The brat looked shocked upon seeing him before running quickly and wrapping her arms around him.

The action made Aniel freeze, and unwanted emotions and certain memories of a purple-eyed woman suddenly crept all over him, making his head ache.

"Dad? Daddy! I'm so glad that you're awake now! Did you know how worried I was these past few months? And why did you shield me from that attack? Why didn't you place a protection circle on yourself? What if you died? I don't want to lose you! You hear me? I don't!" The silver-haired brat cried into his chest, trembling terribly.

Aniel just stood straight not even bothering to move.

"Daddy? Are you alright? Why are you not replying?" The brat asks, golden eyes staring up at him with relief and happiness written all over it.

Aniel scowled and glared frostily at the brat who dared to lay her filthy hands on him.

"Who allowed this nobody into my castle?"

The brat seemed to have recoiled from his words because the arms that were once wrapped around him tightly, pulled away. Aniel watched as the girl took a step back, hands trembling as she wiped her tears away staring at him with bewilderment.

"P-Pardon?" The brat asks, stuttering.

"Killian. Was it you?" Aniel asked the knight who was watching the scene with barely hidden confusion and shock.

"Your Majesty? Don't you recognize Her Royal Highness?" His knight decides to ask back.

Aniel raised a brow at his question before chuckling coldly that made everyone in the room flinch.

"Her Royal Highness? I take that this lady looks like me, but how is she part of the imperial family? I don't even remember accepting the daughter of a commoner into the castle."

"D-Daddy..." The brat cries.

Aniel's headache came in full force at her cries, and Aniel decided that enough is enough.

"Should you be calling me that? I do not have, and I will never have a daughter. Now get her out of my sight this instant!" He ordered, turning away from these people.

"Princess... Let's go, hm?" He vaguely heard a woman's voice calling gently for the brat.

"B-But A-Aly, I d-don't get it..."

Upon hearing no sound of footsteps and doors opening, Aniel flared his mana warningly and called for his knight.

"Did you not hear me? Killian!"

Jennette doesn't know how to react, she doesn't even know what to feel. Was this how Princess Athanasia felt when Emperor Claude forgot about her?

Jennette can't even breath properly because of all the trembles and hiccups raking all over her body.

"Yo, Idiot– The fuck? Are you okay?" She heard Lumiere asked worriedly, the Princess just glanced at him in her peripheral vision before Killian pulled him closer and gently pushed Jennette into his arms.

"Magician! Perfect timing! Bring the Princess to her room and make sure she gets enough sleep. I need to talk to His Majesty." Killian said, quick as lightning before disappearing back into her Dad's room.

"Uh? Alright?" Lumiere answered confusingly.

"I'll go straight to the royal kitchen to make you tea and fetch your food, okay Princess? Sir Lumiere, please take care of her." Alannys said, Jennette nodded her head absentmindedly before Lumiere teleported them back into her bedroom.
